I found that some recurring events do not appear in the list of all. For example http://rondainfinita.info/evento/concierto-de-piano-a-cargo-de-jose-luis-nieto/2015-09-10/ missing this event if I select ALL EVENTS list http://rondainfinita.info/evento/concierto-de-piano-a-cargo-de-jose-luis-nieto/all/

    Hey Antonio,

I’m sorry you’ve run into this behavior on your site. On my local testing site, things work fine with /all/ links, so I’m curious about what could be causing this…

For starters, can you share your “system information” with us? Here’s an article about how to do so โ†’ https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/sharing-sys-info/

Next, for now, can you try creating a brand new recurring event just for testing purposes? Make it have several occurrences in September, October, November, etc.

Then, see if this event has the same problem โ€“ย share a link to it if you can, as well.

Both things here should be quite helpful.

    Thank you! ๐Ÿ™‚

    Good afternoon:

I created a recurring test event and seeing the All view, we see that the first event in the series is missing

    http://rondainfinita.info/evento/prueba/all/

    This is the missing event:

    Hey Antonio,

Thanks for the information here โ€“ย and for your patience over the weekend! ๐Ÿ™‚

I looked through your system information and there is not anything there that stands out as being “problematic”. However, I’ve also continued to try and recreate this issue and I can never get it to happen! ๐Ÿ™

So it seems that from here, the best step is to test for any possible theme or plugin code conflicts. We have an article here that describes how to do this โ†’ https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/testing-for-conflicts/

I’d recommend doing those steps when you’re able toย โ€“ย pay careful attention to the behavior of your problems after each plugin and theme deactivation, and see if anything improves.

These steps will be immensely helpful here โ€“ย let us know what you find!

    โ€” George

Hi George: I followed all the recommendations disabling all plugins and I changed the theme to recommended but has not solved the problem.
    Thank you.

Thank you for testing this Antonio!

I’m sorry that this is taking so long to figure out, I just have been unable to recreate your problems. For me, the only recurring events that don’t show up in the /all/ view are ones that have already passed, so I don’t know why your upcoming events are being hidden.

I will reach out to our development team for some insight on this Antonio! Your issues are rather unique, which I’m sorry about since it is taking us some time to try and figure out the cause.

In the meantime, however, can you try one last thing? It may seem redundant, but is not:

First, put your site back in the site where a default theme like Twenty Twelve is active, and all plugins except for The Events Calendar and Events Calendar Pro are deactivated.

Once the site is in this state, then try again to create a new recurring event, just a test event for testing purposes.

Once its created, leave your site in this state if possible and share a link to the event you have created…

This will be a useful test and I thank you in advance for doing it, if you’re able to!

    Thank you,
    George

Good afternoon George: I have performed the steps and continue with the same problem. After creating a new event, still missing the first event of the series.

    Cheers

Buenas tardes George: he realizado los pasos indicados y seguimos con el mismo problema. Tras crear un nuevo evento, sigue sin aparecer el primer evento de la serie.

    Saludos

Thank you so much for your continued patience with this! I am so sorry that this issue persists even after all that testing.

I can still not reproduce this issue, so unfortunately the best recommendation I can think of at this moment to hold off for a bit and wait for our next plugin release โ€“ย it will be happening this week, barring some weird alien invasion or other catastrophe that prevents us from launching ๐Ÿ™‚

Once this new version is released, I’d recommend updating to it on your site and see if that improves the behavior of recurring events at all.

Let me know what you think about this! If you don’t want to wait for the official release, you can get “Release Candidates” and manually install them at any time by going to http://theeventscalendar.com/my-account/downloads and scrolling down to the “Early Access” section. It just might be a lot simpler to wait for the auto-update option, and that “official release” code will include even more improvements than the release candidates, so it might be worth waiting. Your call though, of course ๐Ÿ™‚

I’m very sorry about the frustrations with this issue and hope our new 3.12 code helps it in some way.

    Thank you,
    George
