ParticipantFor sure! As I said we will let you know when a fix is ready for that. It could be a while, this bug has not yet been slotted for a release. Until then there is no solution available. 🙁 It will get slotted as soon as we can fit it in.

ParticipantI hear you. I’ll do what I can to speed it along but it will be at minimum four weeks, and I could see this possibly taking a bit longer. 🙁

ParticipantHowdy David,
So far you are the only person with this issue, so unfortunately that means it is a lower priority than average. We typically will hit something within ~4-6 weeks if 5+ users have reported it. If only one user has reported bumping into this, it can take months to work our way around to it. 🙁 I wish we could hit all bugs next release, but that’s just not feasible. This is still going to be a ways out, but we will let you know when a release is imminent.
I know you don’t want to hear that.. We do try to be forthright though and let you know what’s happening behind the scenes, and that’s what is happening. Right now we just have to hit higher priority bugs and those that have been around longer than this one.
Please let me know if you have any questions. Cheers!

Participanthi,
This is very different from what you said at first
I’m sure there are many users that do not even know that it is not right
And will help them greatly ..So I think it’s very important to have that fix as soon as possible
So that all can export the data in any languageThanks

ParticipantHello again,
This is very different from what you said at first
I honestly don’t know of anything that is different from what I just said, but I am sorry if I miscommunicated anything at some point.
I’m sure there are many users that do not even know that it is not right
And will help them greatly ..To be forthright, I do not think we have many users of Event Tickets Plus in other languages. Right now we do not support any of the multilingual plugins in Event Tickets Plus. So I think a lot of sites for other languages are just not using our plugins yet, and are waiting until those things are supported.
Regardless we have many other issues in which multiple people are reporting being affected. Some of them have many many times more reports than this. And we naturally have to hit those first, because it is logical to conclude that those issues are impacting more users.
Again I am sorry I do not have good news for you here. If you have any questions from me please let me know. If the plugin is just useless for you right now, would you be interested in a refund? You are well outside of our typical refund window (which is set by our credit card processors). But, I think my managers would be willing to refund you anyways, even though it will cost us a number of fees to do so. Just let me know.
Cheers!

ParticipantThat makes sense. If you are willing to hire someone for this you might checkout our list of customizers:
https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/find-a-customizer/
The primary issue that I was seeing is that the field keys are stored as escaped values, but in the various views you have mentioned it searches for unescaped field keys. Since it finds none these are blank. This is of course not an issue for basic latin characters since they can be stored as database keys without needing to be escaped, hence why this issue is primarily only affecting non latin alphabets. If you tell this to the customizer it will help bring them up to speed on the technical specifics. They further might be interested in the fix I crafted earlier that applies to one of the views. That view was patchable via filters, and it shows how to fix things.
Please let me know if you have any more questions. Cheers!

ParticipantHey,
I’ve contacted a number of people on this list and nobody even came back to me.
I would be delighted if you could get me a programmer who knows the problem and can help me solve it
Thank you.

ParticipantMan I am sorry to hear that David. It is probable you will still hear back from a few of them, but it could take a while. A good developer is often a busy developer.
You might checkout Freelancer.com in that case. There are thousands of people available for hire there. Anyone adequately experienced in PHP and WordPress should be able to address this.
I just raised this bug to the attention of our management once again, hoping to speed it along. I am truly sad how much of a pain this has been for you. I wish I had a perfect solution.
Cheers!

ParticipantI do have one bit of good news, David. I plead your case to my manager again and he slotted this for the soonest we possibly can. We are currently finishing up 4.2.7 which will be due in a couple of weeks. We are also already beta testing version 4.3, you might have noticed the download link for the beta in your My Account > Downloads area. So we can not add anything else to those, they are already past that point and are nearing release.
However, this is now slotted for version 4.3.1. If everything goes according to plan a fix for this will be ready then. I am guessing that release will be ready in the middle of October, maybe the 12th or the 19th. I know that’s still a ways out. But it is literally the soonest we can add anything right now. Even though this issue has so far only impacted you (that we know of) we are adding it to the top of our list there.
You have been very patient with us and we really appreciate it. We would happily gift you a license to any of our other plugins for free if you want one. Your choice. I also just extended your license 3 months.
Thanks again.

ParticipantThanks
These are good news
Anyway I am trying to fix it these days with a programmer thai i found
It cost me a bit but I have no choice because I have to export all the data properlySeptember 8, 2016 at 8:23 am #1161513Brook
ParticipantI understand that. With as much as code we have it takes a while to update and test things for a release. Some times the fastest you can move at this scale is still not fast enough.
Thanks for keeping me posted. We will notify you here when the fix is ready.
Cheers!

KeymasterHey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.
Thanks so much!
