    Hello,

Our add event page we have just setup is here: http://www.birchington.org/events/community/add/

We are using Virtue pro wordpress theme for the design.

Two issues have come up on this page:

    1. Some of the dropdowns are duplicating, like under ‘venue’ and ‘organizer’ there are two dropdowns with the same options, but styled differently.

    2. All dropdowns styled in the ‘chunkier’ style, which is most of them, when you click them they pop you to the top of the page. When you scroll back down the box has popped open, but that is very confusing for people. Every dropdown like the hour, minute and am or pm will pop you to the top of the page when clicking it.

I’m unsure how to solve these issues. It happens in Chrome, Firefox and Safari. It happens on my laptop, tablet, etc. Is this an issue with the event calendar interacting with the Virtue pro theme?

    Thanks

    Hi Caroline.

I visited that link and noticed what you were describing.

I didn’t see any console errors at your site (if needed, you may reference our KB article Using Google Chrome Developer Tools), but I believe there is some JavaScript conflict here — not causing a console error, just conflicting code.

I believe the issue is the # being added to the browser address bar.

I’d suggest following our recommended troubleshooting steps:

There might be some new updates available. Could you please make sure all your Modern Tribe plugins (and WordPress core) are at their latest versions?

Once you verify you’re on the latest versions, please test to see if the issue is still happening for you.

If it is, please follow our Testing for Conflicts Guide (basically switch to TwentySixteen theme and deactivate all plugins and custom code other than Modern Tribe plugins) and see if that helps narrow down the cause of this.

If it doesn’t, please enable WP_DEBUG and WP_DEBUG_LOG and share any PHP errors you see while changing tickets quantity, navigating your site’s home page, events page, single-event pages, and any other of your site’s pages relevant to this ticket.

Then, please share your System Information (while in Testing for Conflicts mode).

Let us know what you find out.

    Thanks.

Hey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.

    Thanks so much!
