Scott
ParticipantI have several events that I’m selling tickets to. Theses events each are at several times, and I’m using the “Request information for each attendee during registration” section to allow the attendees to select which time they want to attend.
For example, Event 1 is at 11:30am and 1:30pm, Event 2 is at 10:30am and 12:30pm, etc. The additional information would allow the attendees to select one of the two times for each event while registering.
The problem is that this information doesn’t make it to the order email.
I’m comfortable with adding custom code if there is a solution to this, but I’m just not sure how to access the information entered into those fields. Specifically, how would I retrieve the meta information for each individual order, and how would I be able to get that information if there were multiple attendees with different responses? So, in an order with 2 attendees, attendee 1 wants to attend Event 1 at 11:30am and attendee 2 wants to attend at 1:30pm, how would I be able to retrieve that information to be included in the order confirmation email the admin receives?

MemberHi Scott.
Thanks for your detailed question.
I’d strongly suggest adding 2 tickets to each single event. You should create one ticket for 11:30am showing and one ticket for 1:30pm showing. If your auditorium is 100 capacity, you could set the limit per ticket to 100. That way, if 11:30am showing is sold out (sold 100 tickets), they’d still be able to buy the 1:30pm showing (if you’ve only sold 90 tickets).
Another benefit, because your only Attendee Meta question is for showtime, is that you wouldn’t need to ask them for their preferred showtime, so you wouldn’t need to worry about getting Attendee Meta information to appear on emails.
I hope this clarifies things. Please let me know if you have any follow-up questions on this topic.

ParticipantThat makes sense in this case, but what if there was other meta info that needed to be collected? Is there a “catch-all” meta function that could be used to grab any additional information that needed to be collected for a given event? It doesn’t need to be particularly pretty, as long as it’s functional.

MemberSorry, but I’m not understanding your question, Scott. Maybe it’d help to give a real-world example.
Or maybe getting acquainted with the Ticket Fieldsets functionality is what you’re needing?

This sounds kind of like your issue, so maybe it can help you?
