GuestHi there,
1. is there a way to import events from Events Manager Pro?
2. RE: the Event Ticketing plugin does not work with recurring events – does this mean that it does not work for purchasing a ticket for an individual date of a recurring event, or that it just does not work if people want to buy tickets for multiple dates at the same time for a recurring event?
3. Does the Event Ticketing plugin work with paypal?
4. do you offer customization help for a fee?
5. Is there an option to set Users as admins for just this plugin?
Thanks!

MemberHowdy Shambhavi,
I would love to help you with this.
1. is there a way to import events from Events Manager Pro?
We offer two easy import options, iCal (via the iCal Importer ) and CSV. I see the Events Manager plugin generates iCal files, so that might be the easiest option. But if you are savvy with SQL it is often possible to export the data from any WordPress plugin as a CSV, so that is also an option.
2. RE: the Event Ticketing plugin does not work with recurring events – does this mean that it does not work for purchasing a ticket for an individual date of a recurring event, or that it just does not work if people want to buy tickets for multiple dates at the same time for a recurring event?
Great question. It means what you said at first, that it is not possible to purchase a ticket for an invididual date. Rather tickets are shared for the entire series of events, so buying a ticket while viewing one date gives you a ticket for every date. This is suitable for courses and such, but not ideal for other types of events. Eventually we will offer an option for either type of event, but until then only course style events are supported.
3. Does the Event Ticketing plugin work with paypal?
Absolutely it can. Event Tickets Plus ties into the WP Ecommerce platform of your choice. The most popular one is WooCommerce. It allows you to sell tickets via those platforms, the actual payment processing is handled by the Ecommerce store, and all of them support PayPal.
4. do you offer customization help for a fee?
We do, but so do many others: List of freelance customizers . Since there are so many folks willing to help with small customizations, we focus on large ones. If your project needs twenty thousand dollars worth of work or more I can put you in touch with our sales team. Of course most are nowhere near that large, and so any one of the customizers on the above list is better suited.
5. Is there an option to set Users as admins for just this plugin?
Not really. However Community Events might interest you. It has a front-end form to allow users to submit just events. This way they can submit events without needing to be admins.
Does that all make sense? Will that work for you? Please let me know.
Cheers!

GuestHi Brook,
Thanks for the detailed info. I’m afraid at this time we won’t be able to use the plugin. We need the functionality that allows people to buy tickets for individual dates in a string of recurring events. If you wouldn’t mind, please let me know when that is added.
All the best,

GuestHi Brook,
That feature request seems to be about a different way of selling tickets through Woo Tickets. We are interested in solutions that are completely based in our website. So that would be this add on: https://theeventscalendar.com/product/wordpress-event-tickets-plus/.
Maybe I am missing something, or misunderstanding? If so, please enlighten me.

ParticipantSure! WooTickets is the old name for Event Tickets Plus. It was renamed late last year. So it actually be what you are looking for.
Hope that helps clarify things.
