ParticipantHey guys…I’m reworking an older site for a client who has had Events Pro working flawlessly for the last few years. I’ve cloned the site on my dev server and am making some updates that haven’t been made in a while. I renewed my license and downloaded the latest version, installed it and when I activated it I get a 500 error. I followed your troubleshooting guide and did the following:
– Disabled all plugins
– Used base 2015 theme
– First activated Events Calendar, no error.
– Then activated Pro, 500 error
– Then I tried in reverse order…activating Pro then the base plugin
– When activating Pro first, no error
– Activating the base plugin second I got a 500 errorSo, it apparently doesn’t matter the order, they all give me the same error when the plugin.php screen attempts to reload. I’m unable to access any pages on the backend without getting the 500 error.
On the front end, here’s the fatal error:
Fatal error: Class ‘Tribe__Events__Pro__Recurrence__Permalinks’ not found in /home/jasoncyr/public_html/clients/gnps/wp-content/plugins/events-calendar-pro/src/Tribe/Main.php on line 171
Thanks for your help!

ModeratorHello,
Thank you for reaching out. Can you send over your System Information as a private reply? Also, are you updating from a fairly old version of PRO? Are you updating the plugins via the Plugins > Add New tab or manually?
Thanks again and take care. Cheers!

ParticipantHey Hunter…apologies, I never received an email notification of your reply. So, the problem is that I can’t even get to the System Information panel, I get a 500 error upon plugin activation and then have to FTP in, rename the folder to deactivate it in order to get back into the Dashboard.
As for updating, I did it manually…

ModeratorHello,
What version were you updating from when you purchased the renewal license? Are you able to set up a test domain with the default WP theme and only our plugins to see if you can reproduce the issue? We don’t have any logged bugs of users reporting similar behavior, and I have not personally experienced this issue myself.
Let me know and we’ll go from there. Thanks!

ParticipantWelp, looks like it’s fixed. I downloaded the latest version of both plugins and manually upgraded. Not sure what the glitch was but we’re all good now!
