ParticipantJust installed pro and started working with recurring events. It appears that some of the events in a set appear on the calendar fine and the links work as expected, but others in the same set of events lead to a 404 error with /all in the URL. Saw some threads about this but I’m unclear on what the fix is.

MemberHi,
Sorry for the issues you are having.
Do you have some links you can send us in a private reply so we can take a look at this?
Also, have you tried out 404 error guide to see if that can help?
Let me know and we can go from there.
Thanks

MemberYou are correct this is strange.
The links are correct for all the Events in the Month View.
However, when I click on one it takes me to that /all/ page.
It only does this on the Month view though.
Can you please follow our Testing for Conflicts guide and see if that helps narrow down what is causing the issue:
Let me know what you find out.
Thanks

ParticipantI’ve gone through all of the steps to test for conflicts – changed to twenty-thirteen, disabled plugins, cleared cache – but no change on the issue. I also noticed that the rollover summaries on the calendar are not working on my theme but do work on twenty-thirteen, so I can move that to a new thread if you like.
So, I’m guessing the issue is not theme-related but something with the calendar plugin or how it plays with my WP install?

ParticipantJust an additional note – I also tested disabling the calendar add-ons one at a time, but that made no difference either. I currently have the Eventbrite and Category Colors add-ons installed in addition to the core plugin and Pro.

MemberThank you for the testing.
I went back to your site today and was unable to reproduce the error now. I did see it yesterday, but now clicking on the Tuesday Events takes me to the right page.
Are you seeing it resolved now? Can you try on a browser that you have not visited the site on or clearing your browser cache?
Month Tool Tips
For the theme conflict are you using any custom templates for the events calendar? what about if you change the Events Template in the settings?Events > Settings > Display Tab
Let me know and we can go from there.
Thanks

ParticipantNo, I’m afraid the issue is still there. Tested on a different computer that had never cached the page, different browser, etc… no change. You’ll still see it here:

You might have clicked on one of the entries that works. I mentioned that it works on some but not others – for instance, in the same set of recurring events, the Tuesday Friends event works for March 3, but not for the next date, March 10.
On the tooltips, I’m not using any custom templates, just the “Default Events Template” with Tribe Events styles. Tried a different template from a previous calendar, but still no rollover effect.

MemberOh my bad it works in February, but not really after that.
Please try a quick change to the slugs for event views (events) and the single event(event)and see if that changes anything.
Events > Settings
Also, do you have any extra coding in your htaccess file?
ToolTips
As for the tooltips I would suggest debuging your theme using the WordPress settings:Please follow the steps in the WordPress Debug Codex in the Example wp-config.php for Debugging section:
http://codex.wordpress.org/Debugging_in_WordPress
Please place that coding and load the month view and then check the error log and see if there are any errors.
Let me know what you find out and we can go from there.
Thanks

MemberThanks for the information.
I would like to try our basic troubleshooting steps again before moving to a different approach on this.
Can you please change themes and deactivate all plugins besides the Events Calendar and the Events Calendar Pro and at the same time make sure everything is removed from the htaccess file, but the WordPress only coding.
If that does not work the next option is to see about having you setup a clean install on a test site, verify everything works with recurring events (or not). Then start adding your theme and plugins one by one to see if the issue can be found.
Let me know what you would like to do.
Thanks
