Hello I just purchased this plugin and it looks perfect!

3 issues I’ve encountered and am hoping to find a solution:

    1) On every ticket the page title displays “Blog – Latest News” instead of the ticket name. Eg. https://zontaottawa.ca/another-event/

    2) Ticket are not getting emailed out to people. I have created a free test event, ordered 2 tickets myself and did not receive them. I’m using Woocommerce. I received the “Thank you for your order” email, the “New customer order” email and the “Your order is complete” email which all state the tickets will come in another email. I have not received any further emails with the tickets.

    3) The third problem is that event tickets are not completing on their own. In order to receive the “complete” email as mentioned above, I had to go into Woocommerce –> Orders and mark the order as completed. I checked off the option “Try to set the status of new ticket orders to “complete” automatically” in the Event Tickets settings, but this didn’t seem to do anything.

Thanks in advance for any assistance!

    Hello Jay,

Thanks for reaching out, I’d be glad to assist you 🙂

I visited the link provided and it appears those titles are coming from your theme rather than our plugin. You may want to review our New User Primer and Testing for conflicts articles. Another idea would be to visit your Event Settings > Display and try a few different options found there.

Emails should get sent out, but that is more related to your server/hosting environment. One plugin that can assist with resolving mail issues is Easy WP SMTP. I use it all the time and it usually works out.

For the third question, refer to the Testing for conflicts guide as mentioned above. Let me know if the issue still arises and we’ll go from there.

I hope I’ve sufficiently addressed your questions and I look forward to hearing back. Take care!

Thank you very much for the response!

I realized the problem which was causing the titles to appear as such, so this won’t be an issue any longer.

As mentioned, email delivery from my website isn’t having issues. I get all WP notifications and the sales notifications from Woocommerce. The only thing missing is the generated tickets + the email containing them.

I enabled debug mode and went and ordered 2 more test tickets. Here is the resulting line from my php error log:

fcgid:warn] [pid 1222] [client xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:52086] mod_fcgid: stderr: PHP Fatal error: Call to undefined function ImageCreate() in /path/to/site/wp-content/plugins/event-tickets-plus/vendor/phpqrcode/qrimage.php on line 74, referer: https://zontaottawa.ca/wp-admin/edit.php?post_type=shop_order

Perhaps this is also the cause of issue 3) above. I’m guessing if the ticket doesn’t get generated then the order can’t be marked as completed by the “Try to set the status of new ticket orders to “complete” automatically” option.

Any further assistance would be wonderful! The client is hoping to start selling event tickets within the next day so we’d love to get this running. If I can provide any more information please let me know.

I really need to get this resolved in the next couple days or I’ll need to be finding an alternative system and refunding the event tickets plus plugin.

Is there anything I can do to fix the php errors during ticket generation? Is my server missing some required software?

Everything about the plugin is amazing it just fails to send the tickets & complete the order

Figured out the second problem. Turned out the server was missing the php5-gd package.

My only remaining issue is that the orders are not completing automatically.

    Jay,

Glad to hear we’re 2/3. Shall we try for 3/3?! Try adding this snippet to your theme’s functions.php file and see if orders get marked complete as desired.

Thanks for working with me on this and keep me updated with the last issue. Have a good one!
