We’ve just released an update to our WooTickets add-on, and users should expect to begin seeing update prompts for the 1.0.1 release over the next 24 hours. This release is mostly bug fixes, with a couple minor features and some new translation files thrown in too. Our goal here was to both ensure things play smoothly with yesterday’s WooCommerce 2.0 release, and to address a handful of bugs that users had noted as critical pain points. Specifically:
Small features, UX and Content Tweaks:
- Added code to allow for translation of PDF tickets when The Events Calendar 3.0 is released.
- Various minor UX tweaks to smooth integration with WooCommerce 2.0.
- Incorporated new Norwegian translation files, courtesy of Eyolf Steffensen.
- Incorporated new Italian translation files, courtesy of Andrea Palermo.
- Incorporated new German translation files, courtesy of Peter Schönmann.
- Incorporated new Czech translation files, courtesy of Martin Kristan.
- Incorporated new Brazilian Portuguese translation files, courtesy of Diego Meneghetti.
- Incorporated new Greek translation files, courtesy of Panos Efstratiou.
- Incorporated new French translation files, courtesy of Fabien Decroux.
- Removed a fatal error that showed on view.php for All Day events that occurred without an end date for ticket sales.
- Fixed an issue where tickets would not show on the frontend for certain users once upgrading to WordPress 3.5.
- WooTickets now registers orders that have been manually added by a site admin.
- PDFs generated on orders of >10 tickets now include correct number of pages.
- Removed a repeating message that duplicated every time you updated an existing ticket.
- If you’re running WooTickets alongside our Eventbrite Tickets add-on, having the two active no longer kills the frontend ticket form.
- Pressing the checkout button two or more times in rapid succession will no longer create duplicate orders.
- Preemptively addressed a jQuery issue impacting the plugin’s interaction with our forthcoming release The Events Calendar 3.0.
We’ll be following this up with a more feature-centric WooTickets release in the coming weeks, too. No promises as to a specific timetable…but we’ve gotten some great ideas in our WooTickets feature request thread, and are working now to implement those in a way that makes sense and meets everyone’s needs. Stay tuned on that end.
