We have updated the version so that The Events Calendar 5.4 is only compatible with Events Calendar Pro 5.3 and higher.

✨ New

New features included in this release:

  • We have updated the Featured Venue widget with a new template and styles.
  • We added a compatibility container to widgets to allow for a non-body target for compatibility classes.
  • We moved Administration views for Widget form fields from /src/admin-views/widgets/components to /src/admin-views/widgets/components/fields.
  • We simplified the Views\V2\Widgets\Taxonomy_Filters class to prevent complexity around the Taxonomy data and templates.

✅ Fixed

Bugs that were squashed in this release:

  • We’ve added compatibility with WordPress 5.7 and jQuery 3.5.1.
  • We corrected an issue where the Countdown Widget event title was off to the left when using Twenty Twenty theme.
  • We fixed the recurring event instances setting that was impacting all views when it should only limit instances in List, Day, Photo, and Map Views.
  • Front-end recurring event instances toggle option was adding a toggle to Week View, but the toggle should only show on List, Day, Photo, and Map Views.
  • Filter reset pagination params now includes hide_subsequent_recurrences to prevent pagination from failing the first time.
  • Countdown and Advanced List Widgets properly respect the Match All option for the updated Widgets.
  • We now prevent duplicated taxonomy filters and field from showing up on Widgets Admin forms.
  • We added PHP fixes around the usage of round() on distances to the Venue based on Search.
