Maintenance Release for the Week of 15 April 2018

Welcome to maintenance release number 6 of 2018! If this is your first time getting an update from us, maintenance releases are smaller updates between major releases, and are mostly comprised of bug fixes, tweaks, and small (but meaningful!) improvements. We always recommend using a staging site to test these changes before updating on a live site.

To see all of the changes included in this maintenance release, check out the changelogs for all updated plugins below:

The Events Calendar 4.6.14

  • Fix – Updated the “front page” logic to store the value in the DB instead of “mocking” the view via JS
  • Fix – Fixed the generation of PHP warnings on retrieval of posts if the “Include events in main blog loop” option is checked (thanks to Colin Carmichael for reporting this problem)
  • Fix – Made the tribe-ea-record custom post type (used to store Event Aggregator record information) private
  • Fix – Expanded the size of the time zone input in the admin to allow for better visibility for long names
  • Fix – If the main events page is set to be the site’s front page, ensure it shows as “selected” in the Customizer’s front page option
  • Fix – Fixed an issue where failed Event Aggregator scheduled imports would re-attempt the import too soon
  • Fix – Ensure the Tribe Bar displays all the available ranges of dates and times
  • Fix – Hid the filters in the Tribe Bar if a unique view is enabled
  • Fix – Fixed some imported-event handling so that events with no time and that aren’t all-day events do not display on the front-end
  • Fix – Changed the HTTP status codes of empty event, venue, organizer, category, and tag archives from 404 to 200 and return empty arrays to stick with WP REST API standard
  • Fix – Better “guessing” on column mapping during the import of CSV file (thanks to April in our Help Desk for flagging this problem!)
  • Tweak – Added the tribe_aggregator_find_matching_organizer and tribe_aggregator_find_matching_venue filters in Events Aggregator to allow the definition of custom Venue and Organizer match criteria
  • Tweak – Display the retry time for a failed Event Aggregator scheduled import in the Scheduled tab
  • Tweak – Add new filter, tribe_events_import_event_duplicate_matches, to determine if an event is part of the duplicates matches
  • Tweak – Ensure “secondary” maps, e.g. in the sidebar, have the same full-width behavior as “main” maps
  • Tweak – Restore some missing header navigation elements
  • Tweak – Add notice if an import is missing required columns
  • Tweak – Save time zone and time zone abbreviation fields (if provided) even if date was not changed when saving event through API

Events Calendar PRO 4.4.25

  • Fix – Make sure Additional Fields are not emptied when an Event Aggregator import updates an event
  • Tweak – Prevent unnecessary recurring-events labels from showing up on Community Events submission form
  • Tweak – Make sure country names don’t contain parentheses before being sent to the Google Maps API

Event Tickets 4.7.2

  • Fix – Prevent occasional issue with email content-type not being reset after ticket emails were sent (props to @jappleton in the forums for reporting this!)
  • Fix – Hide unused ‘back’ button when moving tickets to another post
  • Fix – Prevent multiple instances of the ‘View your RSVPs and Tickets’ link from showing on single events (or other ticket-enabled post types – props to @svkg in the forums for reporting this)
  • Fix – Clear attendee cache when a ticket gets moved to another post
  • Fix – Open the exportable CSV file of attendees in a new tab to accommodate Google Chrome’s strict handling of file and MIME types, preventing some console errors and notices in Chrome
  • Fix – Added “View Tickets” link to Custom Post Types when appropriate (thank you @19ideas for helping identify this)
  • Fix – Fix some layout issues with the “Email Attendees” modal in the Attendees list admin view, especially when viewed on phones or tablets (props to @event-control for reporting this!)
  • Fix – Avoid notice-level errors when calling ticket stock functions in relation to events with unlimited stock (props to Lou Anne for highlighting this)
  • Tweak – Documented filter for available Ticket Modules, and used its method instead more places
  • Tweak – The tribe_events_tickets_modules filter has now been deprecated and should not be used

Event Tickets Plus 4.7.2

  • Feature – Add new action, tribe_tickets_before_front_end_ticket_form, if tickets has been expired and the tickets form is not rendered any more
  • Fix – Fixed an issue where shared capacity would reduce available stock on load of the event editor; thanks to Sherman, Michael, and Greg for bringing it up!
  • Fix – Fixed emails with Easy Digital Downloads tickets not being sent
  • Fix – Added new column in the CSV import of tickets for the “Show ticket description” value, accompanied by new filter tribe_tickets_plus_import_ticket_data to change the data before ticket creation via CSV (thanks to April in our Help Desk for flagging this problem!)

Community Events 4.5.11

  • Fix – Prevent multiple notification emails from being sent every time an already-submitted event is edited (thanks to @proactivedesign in the forums for flagging this bug!)
  • Fix – Fixed JavaScript error with datepickers on small viewport sizes
  • Tweak – Fixed some misalignment of buttons above Community Events’ front-end “My Events” list in the Twenty Seventeen theme

Filter Bar 4.5.5

  • Fix – Fixed an issue where cost ranges with numbers in decimal format would sometimes break filter URLs
