ParticipantHi Andras,
Thank you for escalating this. I am checking back in as I did not see it on the known issues list. Should we expect the location import fix to be included in the next push in Dec?
Thanks!

ParticipantHi Andras,
Thanks for the help!
1. Good to hear the accent issue might be fixed.
2. Please let us know ASAP about the bug fix.
3. Vencaf.org is the destination of these event listings. We are pulling from a Google calendar feed.
Best,

ParticipantHi Andras,
Thank you for working on this.
Regarding #1: Please let us know when there is a solution.
Regarding @2: Good to know. Please let us know when there is a solution.
Regarding #3: Are you saying I should test a new import using the Google Calendar iCal link via the “Other URL (beta)” import?
Thank you and happy Thanksgiving!

ParticipantI would like to add that this doesn’t usually show up until the week of the event.

ParticipantHi Cliff,
A correction on the previous post. The issue is still happening and I was mistaken that it was fixed. The update of the plugin broke the Google Calendar iCal pull. I reset it and it was pulling in all future events each time the pull happened.
For example, we have 11 events this Thursday. After 3 hourly pulls, we ended up with 33 events listed with the triplicates. I used the bulk delete to pull down all the events and then reimported them all.
Is there a way to find out why this is happening between Google and the plugin?
Thanks!

ParticipantHi Cliff,
Thanks for the clarifying questions. It was all events.
I believe I found the issue. “The Events Calendar” was updating correctly but something was not letting “The Events Calendar PRO” plugin update. I deleted the “The Events Calendar PRO” plugin and reinstalled from scratch. Now it works fine.

I am not sure what changed besides us updating the plugin.Your help here would be great!
Thanks!

ParticipantHi Cliff,
Thank you for the suggestion.
Will we be notified when the fix is released?
Also, to be clear, is this a bug where date/times are being converted to UTC, being parsed and then not converted back properly if the start date and end date in UTC are on two separate dates? I would like to know as our other sites are in different times zones (UTC +1, UTC -5, & UTC -6).
Thanks!

ParticipantThanks for noting those issues. I removed the files which were causing the two errors and it now should validate correctly.
=====
I added several more events with varying times (e.g. :02, :15, :30, :45, :57, etc) and the only pattern I can see is that if the event starts before 7pm EST (midnight UTC) and ends after 7pm (midnight UTC), the import time is +5 hours or stuck in UTC time.
Feel free to test again with the new data in the iCal feed.
Thanks!

ParticipantHi Cliff,
My name is Andrew Singleton and I am the point person on this issue for our small team.
I have two Google Calendar iCal feeds which have this issue. One has been running for 6 years and we had plugged into Time.ly for over a year before their iCal importer broke. The second one I built to test this issue.
Live: https://calendar.google.com/calendar/ical/c2forsq4stipos27pm5m09carc%40group.calendar.google.com/public/basic.ics
Test: https://calendar.google.com/calendar/ical/vencaf.org_0ephtnr7dm2ngc2av74qcr2cu0%40group.calendar.google.com/public/basic.icsOur website system info is WordPress 2016 hosted on Bluehost.
While these are not universal I have seen the following general rules. Most events from 3-5pm EST are imported fine but most events 5:30pm to 7:30pm are imported +5 hours.
Here is a link to the Dropbox with the screenshots: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/rhsqe1p29a2k33t/AAC5RPzetABs2u6wtQSY-eZGa?dl=0
Screen shots 6 & 7 are of an events on the test Google Calendar. The event is 2/18 5:30pm to 2/18 7:30pm It imported +5 hours 2/18 10:30pm to 2/19 12:30am.
Screen shots 8 & 9 are of an event on the same test calendar and it imported normally.
I tested the one that import in UTC while all the plugins were turned off. I have run other tests with the plugins off and the theme set to 2014 and this still happens.
This an answer to this issue will save our small non-profit a great deal!
Thank you,
Andrew Singleton
