Thanks, that worked for the button.
I will have to research your suggestions for my css since I am not really an expert and kind of just muddle through until it works 🙂
Wendy LimaugeParticipantThank you for your reply

I was able to add all of my css in my theme’s customizer and it all showed up after adding that line into the wp-config.php file.
One last question and I’m done.
I added the custom “My Button” to a single event. When I hover over it the link turns green. Green is a color I am using on the site but I’d rather it just stay white. I can’t find the css to change it though. Can you help?

The Google Maps #1371678Wendy LimaugeParticipantI tried to edit my response but it gave me a blank page. I thought the code solved the problem but it didn’t. It only solved the issue of the error showing at the top of the event that I was editing. The calendar still appears blank on Chrome, Firefox and my iPad. I also had someone else who doesn’t work on my computer and is on a different IP test it out and she can’t see it either. I got a whole new API Key too.
However, the calendar does appear on the mobile layout but I don’t use my theme for mobile, I use the WPTouch plugin.

I just started getting this issue today, Oct 30th. I have a dedicated server. I added the code that Patricia supplied and it solved the problem. Thanks!

Wendy LimaugeParticipantOkay, well I went ahead and changed the theme to something more modern and now everything works 🙂 I will play around with adding the customizations again to see if they work and if things don’t hang up I will come back and mark this solved. It won’t be for a day or so though.
Thanks for your help.

Wendy LimaugeParticipantOh, at this point I have removed all of that code in functions.php and removed details.php.
I also found out my host can restore my site back to the 22nd before I made these changes. I just don’t want to lose my blog posts, which you said I wouldn’t, and the 148 calendar entries I already inputted. I would probably lose all of my settings in the calendar if I revert back and have to start the color/layout process all over again correct?

Wendy LimaugeParticipantI also went ahead and tested the Adsense/Amazon code issue. I removed both ads from the header and one on the sidebar and retested and the hang problem still exists. It seems to be the theme issue but I don’t know how to remedy it without wiping everything out and doing a restore, which also means I lose all of my blog posts from the last week and all of the 148 calendar entries I inputted.
Wendy LimaugeParticipantOkay, well after trial and error I finally decided to disable the theme and put it back to Twenty Fifteen and I also tested Twenty Twelve. That made it all work again and nothing hangs. So now what do I do? I don’t want to change my entire site for this calendar and everything worked perfectly until I started adding the customizations. But, I have removed all of those so why doesn’t it work?

Wendy LimaugeParticipantI took a look and that is my Adsense/Amazon ad code so it should look that way. I look at one of my other sites and it’s pretty much the same code.
I also noted that if I click or tap the “next month” or “next event” links it also hangs
Since it seems to have happened after I added the customization and since I have removed all of that from functions.php why would it still be acting this way?
