    Hi Brook
No problem about the delay and thanks for your response – sorry to be a bit of a newbie, but where should I paste that code – I am guessing a child php file somewhere ??? If you could let me know which file to create and paste code into I shall give it a whirl.
    Thanks again

    Hi Brook
Thanks for the reply and apologies in not replying soon – I did wonder if that was the case and will make the suggestion on the capability page.

Regarding the other point of being able to view most recent events in the dashboard admin area as opposed to one in the distant future, is there an easy way of defaulting to that? It would be great to be able to access all events and the one at the top is the one for today?

Thanks as ever for your support, Isobel

    Hi Julie
You are brilliant – I took off the all day event check box and just had the times 8 – 5 and lo and behold there is only one entry now … so it must have been something to do with the all day time settings.
Looking under Event Calendar the End of day cut off is 7am and we are UTC+1 on our wordpress setting for hours to match Italy. I changed the end of day cut off to be 7am as that seemed to set the daily view to start at a good time. One of our events is 11pm – 12:30 am but other than that most our in a sociable time zone.
    thanks Julie!

    Hi again Julie
Ahh well – easiest thing as you say is to make sure the events have a start and end time Facebook end …. I have asked that that be the case so all ok now. Thanks again for your help and time, just so pleased it was easy to fathom the reason to the problem!

    Hi Julie
Thank you so much for the quick response and yes you are right – that is the reason! I edited one of my recurring events to give a proper end time (it was in there the same time as the start time) and it showed up fine – BRILLIANT!

Only problem now though is the events imported in from Facebook don’t have an end time (they default to the same start time too) so is there a way of asking the weekly calendar to show the event even though that is the case? I really don’t want to check and edit the Facebook events every day?!?!? And then have to edit them …. It would also be quite useful as some of our events don’t have an end time anyway, they are not as structured as that?

    Thanks again!

    warm regards

    Isobel
