I figured out what to do to move the event to another user by just changing their role to author.

I do have another question on another issue.

When you add the event website to the main event’s page, then what happens is that when you click on the event title when viewing it as an upcoming event in the list of events, then it goes to the event website. That means that it is useless to have all that information (google map, details images, etc) on the event page because it goes to the website – and not the event page.

But if I leave the event website blank, the only place to put a link to the event website is in the text area using your standard WordPress text link in the text editor. I went to your documentation on that looking for a way to have it go to the event page on my website and still have the event website listed, but the documentation must be out of date since it tells you how to get around the default which is already set up.

So I am a little lost on how that works.

That answers a lot of questions.

My post was a lot longer and I don’t know what happened. You can see the second graph is cut off mid-sentence. The questions below were basically in the rest of it, but they are answered now, so it doesn’t matter.

I see that no events are listed if there are none in the rest of the month, which means today, the last day of the month lists no events upcoming, although tomorrow the three limit I set will have those listed, two of which start tomorrow. To list any upcoming no matter what month would be a valuable feature to have. Regardless, it’s working properly.

My question is answered on not being able to skip events. I wasn’t sure about that. Apparently, I saw it somewhere else. This is also working properly.

This all means I have no issues that need addressing from my initial post, but I do have another question on the author roles.

My default login is for a Subscriber, but you have authors listed in the events set up, but I have many who have logged in as a subscriber who posted events and who are listed in the event they posted as the author, but when I want to change it to any one of those event authors (who are listed as subscriber in the users list on the site), the option is not there to change it to another user who has listed an event. And if I as administrator listed an event, I can’t change that author to another user, because it doesn’t give me that option. Can you suggest how I resolve that situation so I can transfer it to a subscriber, even if they are only listed as an author in the event they listed?

Before I go through the plugin and theme process and other steps, can you please confirm the following:

1 – Since I seem to have always had events listed in every month since I got the mini calendar version, please confirm that the mini-calendar is suppose to list upcoming events in future months, whether or not there are events listed in the current month or not.

2- And I wrote that I thought there was an option in the widget to have a number of events skipped. I want to make sure I saw that. I never used it, so I can’t be certain, but please confirm.

3- I went to my post on this problem to reread what I wrote, but it seems to be cutoff right after the beginning of the second paragraph. I can’t seem to open it to read my entire post. Am I missing something here?

4- one other question I ran into. It appears that if a subscriber creates an event, I can’t move the author to someone else if I want. Is that correct? For instance, I create an event and want to later on transfer it to another subscriber, I don’t have that as an option.

I had already gone through the link you sent me and changed the permalinks, but other suggestions mention single event pages as a 404 problem, so those don’t apply to me. Mine is specifically with only a 404 problem on one category and I have no other pages on the website that have 404 problems. And it only occurs when you choose a custom 404 page. Since I saw that in your forum somewhere, I was hoping you had already solved that specific problem.
I did download the plugin but it didn’t fix it.

Since I don’t have time to screw with this right now, I just deleted the 404 custom page so customers won’t get that 404 when going to that one category.

I did find one unique thing. If I turn off the custom 404 page, then I add an event in the current month, then I go back and turn on a custom 404 page, the problem is solved. But I don’t have time to see if it works when it goes into the next month or every day check it.

If you find a solution to my specific problem, please let me know, but right now I can’t spend time experimenting with what the problem might be by going through all the testing procedures.
