ParticipantDear Victor,
You were right! Once I took the site online my issue was resolved.
I had neglected to pay attention to the warning posted at WPEngine:
Enabling password protection will cause all those with access to be served an uncached version of your install, so some functions may not behave the same once this protection is removed. Please ensure that you have also tested the site without the password protection active before fully launching it.
Thank you so much for all your help solving this perplexing “problem.” :0)

ParticipantHi Victor,
Thanks for your swift reply this morning.
Yes, I am currently working with a dev/staging site; we are not public yet. So this may all be due to “rookie error.”
But, I still need you to please spell out the steps I need to take in order to be able to download the barcode image.
Are you saying essentially that all I need to do is take the site online – and the images will download?By the way, since your email arrived I tried this, to no avail:
1) I logged into my development site through the iPhone browser by entering the user and password info.
2) I then RSVP’s for one of my free tickets to an upcoming “test” event. The email that arrived was without the barcode or picture image.I will head over to WPEngine now, take the site online, and run a couple more tests and let you know what happens.
Thanks for your help Victor,
Steve

ParticipantHi Victor,
Thanks a lot for your help.
I just followed the guide for sharing system information to you, so you should be able to access the site. Let me know if you need anything else on that front.
Your questions:
Are you using an email application in your iPhone? If so, which one is it?
>>> No, I’m not using an email app on my phone. I’m using Apple’s “Mail” for iPhone.
Have you tried opening the email in a different mobile application or using a webmail client like Gmail.com ?
>>> No I haven’t tried opening the email on my iPhone on a webmail client like mac.com or me.com. I did open the ticket inside iCloud.com on my laptop then forwarded the ticket from there – with all images visible – to my iPhone. On the iPhone, I can’t see the images or the barcode. Strange!
>>>>> Our business won’t be able to sell tickets unless they open directly through Apple’s iPhone Mail app.
Are you making any template customization for the ticket email template?
>>>> No, I’m a newbie to WordPress and don’t have any coding knowledge whatsoever. Any changes I might have made would only have been at the Events Dashboard. Or inadvertently at WPEngine. Thanks again in advance for any advice or suggestions you provide!

ParticipantDear Andras,
Thank you so much for your reply once again!
Good news! By trial and error I figured out how to place photos on the ticket page.
I had been building Events pages and adding a new photo each time as a featured image, but for some reason that uploaded image never showed up on the ticket page. My work-around was to create the event, go to the event calendar and find the event there, open it up, click on “find out more,” then at the “find out more” page I discovered that if I choose to edit that page and add the featured image there, the loaded photo shows up when I backspace to the previous Events calendar. I realize it’s an odd way to do it this way, but I’m happy that anything is working after hours of frustration.
Thank you so much for your strong recommendation to find a backup method. Because of you I will find that plug-in you recommend and make a back up immediately. It’s better to be safe than sorry, especially after doing a couple of weeks of work.
I have yet to successfully connect events ticketing with PayPal, but let’s save that for another day. Thank you again so much for all of your exceptional help Andras…they should give you a raise!
