Sorry my screenshot embed didn’t work wrong url. Here the direct link. http://cl.ly/image/0j3M1a1a0B1l
rdallParticipantThat is certainly not an easily editable template. I am trying to apply the anti-spam bot function included in core to plain text (and easily harvested) email addresses. See link http://codex.wordpress.org/Function_Reference/antispambot
I already put a feature request for this on the user voice forum.
https://tribe.uservoice.com/forums/195723-feature-ideas/suggestions/6651670-user-wordpress-core-anti-spam-bot-to-hide-email-adIf you know how to apply this to the template you mentioned above I would love to see the gist. However it’s a little over my head at this time.
rdallParticipantHi Josh
The template you are referencing:
https://github.com/moderntribe/the-events-calendar/blob/develop/views/modules/meta/organizer.php
Is only being called in the single event view. I know this because the email on the single event view is being wrapped in a <dt> tag and not a <span> tag. Also the Single Organizer Template is not part of “The Events Calendar” But it’s part of The Events Calendar Pro. You can find it on the
views/pro/single-organizer.phpThat is where you will find the call
echo tribe_get_meta_group( ‘tribe_event_organizer’ )
which then outputs the<!– Organizer Meta –>
<address class=”organizer-address”><span class=”tel”>1-888-111-1111</span><span class=”tribe-events-divider”>|</span><span class=”email”>[email protected]</span><span class=”tribe-events-divider”>|</span><span class=”url”>http://example.com</span></address>So if you review / compare the output of the html from the two files you will see that they are different files and I don’t know where the template for the organizer meta in the pro/single-organizer.php is located.
You should note that I have removed reference to the clients site.
rdallParticipantThe Modern Tribe twitter account has told me about the Event Rocket Plugin which does lat/long for the venues.
If it works I will post here 🙂rdallParticipant*It’s quite the unusual request. Thanks for the quick response.
Damn typos…Â
rdallParticipantHi Yes. It’s quite the unusual response.
I didn’t realize the issue until I went to import the event myself. I know that the WordPress Plugin Store Locator uses both the address and the coordinates if the address is incorrect.
https://wordpress.org/plugins/store-locator/
You can also move the marker to the appropriate location if the address is incorrect. Might be something you guys want to take a look at. As their are a number of places (not just Antarctica) that don’t have proper street address or Google has them incorrect.
I know this is a long shot in terms of a feature request. But I though I would mention the other plugin as it already has this functionality.
Best Regards

rdallParticipantHi Barry
Thanks for the help. The str_replace did the trick. Still learning about PHP. I already have a template override setup and was calling the category array in a different location. But your override works out just the same. Thanks for the help!
rdallParticipantHere is a screenshot with the tribe_get_event_categories applied without the label: http://cl.ly/image/413p1j2S0R1a
rdallParticipantThanks that worked like a charm!
rdallParticipantOnce again My apologies. My fixed nav bar was hiding the search fields in the events calendar list view using the defaults events calendar template.
This resolves my issue and makes me a little red in the face.rdallParticipantSo my setup caused the hiding of the location in the multi-search field. So we can cross that one off the list. (Sorry for my stupidness)
