James, I solved this by making sure that both the WordPress URL and Site URL used https under General > Settings.

George, that was good advice. After adding the “s” to the WordPress URL and upgrading the javascript errors went away. Thanks very much for your help!

That other ticket is not me, but it does look like they copied part of mine. Weird.

I reverted to the previous version and that solved the issue.

Strangely, my WordPress URL does not use https while the Site Address does. I’m on WPEngine, so those get set automatically from time to time.

I’ll try adding the “s” to the WordPress URL then upgrade again. Stay tuned.
