ParticipantOK
Sorry I just thought first question would be a straight forward one.
You can ignore the other question which I have fixed. I was using posttype order plugin which I hadn’t set up.
So….On height I mean the WEEK Calendar view
Calendar page: http://www.maritimelogisticsandenergy.com/events/week/2014-06-09/
So I want the Week calendar to be say 700px High, but it appears to be fixed at 500px. ie css shows : element.style {height:500px;}. I don’t see an option to change this?
Thanks

ParticipantI can even use the ICAL import and import all the events from the week view – so they must be there – but why are they invisible???? This problem occurred overnight!!

ParticipantThanks Julie
That’s OK!
I appreciate the response. I’ll just wing the meeting hoping that you guys can resolve in the next couple of days.
You all seem to be a team of positively mineded pioneers and I just love that – but as a designer and adapter of plugin-ins I have to say I have never found one that fits my needs precisely. But that this is one that is just about there….allbeit missing a few could functions to allow for some simple customization. And Genesis is a platform that should be relatively simple to adapt to…
In anticipation of a response/resolution to my issue with the ICAL, what do you think?

ParticipantHi Julia
Thanks for getting back to me – I appreciate it.
Just wondering – when you create a new discussion on this forum there’s a dropdown box – SITE’S URL – Where I can select the SITE’s URL, What is the point of it if you don’t actually receive the information?
Anyway, FYI Here it is:
Here it is http://www.maritimelogisticsandenergy.com
So you can try see for yourself the problem:Main Event Page : http://www.maritimelogisticsandenergy.com/events/
ICAL Works just fine my calendar opens and I can add the event – Great!Calendar (WEEK) : http://www.maritimelogisticsandenergy.com/events/week/2014-06-09/
ICAL does not work – Not Great! I get the following Error: Calendar can’t read this calendar file. No events have been added to your calendar.Same problem as above with:
Day View : http://www.maritimelogisticsandenergy.com/events/2014-06-09/I opened the downloaded ICAL files and discovered that the one that worked contained a lot more data than the ones that did not. The working file was (1k) the files that did not work were (307bytes)?? You should be able to check that for yourself.
You will notice that I have adapted the Header html to suit the requirements of this particular event website as the events will only run for one specific 2 week period in June this year – in case you’re wondering what all that ‘extra stuff’ is for.
Hope that provides the clarity you need – I have a meeting to discuss progress and further development with my client this on Friday 2pm GMT and would like to understand what the issue is before then.
Many Thanks

ParticipantHi Brook
At the time I wrote my enquiry I had only just purchased the plug-in and as is usual with these things, panic set in, because it didn’t do everything I needed it to straight away and I was unfamiliar with the plugin. So, as is usual with many plugin purchases, adaptation was the key, hence the ‘fancy’ date selector (added after I sent my query in, by the way!). I have used a lot of css to hide things not required and have had to add a fair bit of code to the functions.php file to get the plugin to play nice with Genesis particularly with the seo settings and sidebars (some of which I have had to hide with css, despite adding some functions). Anyway the bottom line, and despite my initial freaking, is that it is a great plug-in.
However I do think it is important to consider that some customers may NOT be running events all year. My customer for example is a major corporate client running an International Festival of Business in Liverpool in the UK, running many high-level business meetings during a two week ONLY in June. It would be great if the plug-in could support that kind of functionality in the future. Obviously being able to add HTML easily to the header of the event was a lifesaver.
