ParticipantHi philmacaulay,
I’m not sure I fully understand. You said the Weeks and Days are not working, but then you said their was a downloaded file with not “enough data for Calendar to read correctly.” So was it an empty file? 0 KB? And how many events were in the Weeks, Days that should have been in the file. Also, for the file that worked, how many events were in that file?
If you could provide a link to your site, it would be helpful to see what’s going on. And if you tried with specific Days/Weeks, that would be good to know too. That would be a first step in trying to figure out what the trouble is.

ParticipantHi Julia
Thanks for getting back to me – I appreciate it.
Just wondering – when you create a new discussion on this forum there’s a dropdown box – SITE’S URL – Where I can select the SITE’s URL, What is the point of it if you don’t actually receive the information?
Anyway, FYI Here it is:
Here it is http://www.maritimelogisticsandenergy.com
So you can try see for yourself the problem:Main Event Page : http://www.maritimelogisticsandenergy.com/events/
ICAL Works just fine my calendar opens and I can add the event – Great!Calendar (WEEK) : http://www.maritimelogisticsandenergy.com/events/week/2014-06-09/
ICAL does not work – Not Great! I get the following Error: Calendar can’t read this calendar file. No events have been added to your calendar.Same problem as above with:
Day View : http://www.maritimelogisticsandenergy.com/events/2014-06-09/I opened the downloaded ICAL files and discovered that the one that worked contained a lot more data than the ones that did not. The working file was (1k) the files that did not work were (307bytes)?? You should be able to check that for yourself.
You will notice that I have adapted the Header html to suit the requirements of this particular event website as the events will only run for one specific 2 week period in June this year – in case you’re wondering what all that ‘extra stuff’ is for.
Hope that provides the clarity you need – I have a meeting to discuss progress and further development with my client this on Friday 2pm GMT and would like to understand what the issue is before then.
Many Thanks

ParticipantHi Phil,
First I want to thank you for your comment regarding the URL. That’s actually a bug in our system that’s now been logged. Sorry for the misunderstanding.
It’s looks like you’ve done a bit of customization there and you’re working with a Genesis theme which we’ve had some difficulties with from time to time. But as to why the data won’t export, or export correctly, I’m not 100% sure. I’m going to have one of the more dev-minded folks on the team take a look and see what they think about your situation. I apologize for the delay in getting you an answer.

ParticipantThanks Julie
That’s OK!
I appreciate the response. I’ll just wing the meeting hoping that you guys can resolve in the next couple of days.
You all seem to be a team of positively mineded pioneers and I just love that – but as a designer and adapter of plugin-ins I have to say I have never found one that fits my needs precisely. But that this is one that is just about there….allbeit missing a few could functions to allow for some simple customization. And Genesis is a platform that should be relatively simple to adapt to…
In anticipation of a response/resolution to my issue with the ICAL, what do you think?

ParticipantHowdy Phil,
I am sorry this topic was accidentally closed. I do not know what happened there.
I was able to reproduce this problem locally. This is a known bug that should be patched in an upcoming release. I created this snippet, and it appears to fix the issue for me. Would you mind copying and pasting the this code into your functions.php file and seeing if it fixes your iCal problem as well?
Please let me know how well it works. Thanks!

MemberHi there,
Thanks for reporting this issue. We were not able to get a fix into our forthcoming 3.4 release. However, this issue is still definitely a priority for us and we plan to work on it for an upcoming release. We will update this thread at that time. Thank you for your patience.
Best,
