ParticipantNevermind .. found it!!!!
The issue had nothing to do with the Social Meta Settings .. but in the general settings. Can’t believe it took me so long to find it.
Thanks for your patience.
Case closed.

ParticipantI have tried that .. as much as I can with a live site. What I think I’m going to do is put a copy of the site on my test server .. which will give me more flexibility to test.
I’ll keep you posted.

ParticipantYes .. I’ve done that. Still not working. It works for all other posts except the events .. weird.

ParticipantThat’s the first thing I checked when I originally saw it wasn’t working. Events is checked .. and has been since the beginning. But it’s not working ..
From what you see in the screen dump .. is there another one that should also be checked as well?
Thanks!

ParticipantGet the URL from any individual event on this calendar and try sharing that link on Facebook ..

Sadly, I did not take note on exactly which version started the issue. I just noticed at some point, it stopped working .. been at least a year now.

ParticipantWell .. the All In One SEO Pack plug-in handles that .. but it seems your plug-in overrides (or ignores) it. It works everywhere else ..
Maybe you should also look there ..

ParticipantThis is a big issue for me .. we promote individual events on Facebook and need to have the correct image show. So .. as soon as you can ..
Tom
ParticipantThank you. That did it. I swear I did inspect the code before I submitted .. but apparently was highlighting the wrong thing.
Thanks again.

ParticipantAny help?

ParticipantI should also note that this was a problem for a long time .. then seemed to be corrected for a few months .. and resurfaced within the last two or three updates ..

ParticipantCreate any event .. but for the sake of argument, pull one of mine ..
Then go to .. https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug/og/object/ to scrape the url .. (put in the above) .. what should show is the designated OG image (same as featured image in this case) .. but what shows up is the logo from the header .. also note that every image on that page is designated by your plug-in as an OG image .. and that should not be the case ..
see attached image

ParticipantI’m having similar issues. Seems the Event Calendar Pro plug-in pulls every image on the page .. including what’s in the header and footer .. and sets them OG image options .. which usually results in some unrelated icon or image being used as the set featured image in Facebook links. I can typically use the plug-in All-in-One SEO Pack to hard set the OG image for other posts and pages .. but your plug-in seems to ignore those settings.
This really should be corrected.
