Yes, TEC 4.1.2 was the version when I installed, activated, and setup Pro.
There aren’t any custom templates in the theme. There are a few actions used in
functions.php
, but all are just for adding or moving stuff on the Single Event template.mrwwebParticipantAha! That did it.
At least in Win 10, latest Chrome, the paste event doesn’t seem to trigger your license validation check. Clicking outside of the box (but not on the save settings button) did. I had been pasting and then immediately cicking “Save” so that the license never got activated (and yet it was somehow on the next page load).
Thanks for the help. You might look into what other JS events can trigger the license activation to avoid this for more people.
mrwwebParticipantMakes sense. Close away!
mrwwebParticipantCan there be a bad place for a compliment like that? I’m thrilled you knew about Nonprofit WP already, and I would love for you to share it with customers, colleagues, and others looking for helping building out their sites. My goal with that site is [unsurprisingly] to help as many people make good WP sites as possible, so the more people know about it the better.
I’m glad this can help increase the urgency of the fix, and I hope to see a fix soon. If needed, I’ll probably dequeue the script if we really run into troubles.
Thanks again for your help and sharing Nonprofit WP in the future!

I can say that just in my experience, I see people do all sorts of stuff with that field including ranges, phrases, etc., so some more aggressive validation and sanitizing of that field seems in order. A way to support cost ranges would certainly be useful.
A weird other issue here was that the WooCommerce Tickets add-on hides the Cost field so it took us a while to remove the value (I hadn’t resorted to going straight into the DB yet but was heading there). That’s another point of confusion.

mrwwebParticipantTried cloning and got same result:
git clone –branch release/118 https://github.com/moderntribe/the-events-calendar.git
Not sure what happened. Replacing the vendor scripts did seem to work though. However, new JS error on week view:
GET http://localhost/site/wp-content/plugins/events-pro/src/resources/js/tribe-events-ajax-day.js?ver=3.10a5 404 (Not Found)
mrwwebParticipantSorry about that. Took a shortcut and paid for it. Will test again.

I’m not sure I feel comfortable considering this resolved until the update goes live on the real site, but this seems promising.

May 8, 2015 at 3:11 pm in reply to: [Migrated] Filter Bar, Changing Dates, And Unwanted Query Parameters #961586mrwwebParticipantProblem appears in the same format—
&tribe_cost=0-50-90
—with both pretty permalinks and default. Flushing and “resetting” permalinks (turning to default and back) does not resolve the issue.Don’t know if this is relevant to reproducing at all but the site uses a lot of recurring events.
If at all possible, I’ll try the beta next week.
