Agruden, I am a current user of both the FB plugin and the Event Plugin. I also initially was having time period issues. They were not as severe as yours, but my time shifts were off about an hour per event. I ended up having to change my WP timzone from NY East Coast, to UTC-4. This seemed to work for me. However, based upon the overall dynamics of you pulling in multiple events from all over the globe, I think you are correct in that I also I do not believe this plugin is going to be able to accomplish your needs. However, hopefully this could be added as a feature in a future release, not that it helps you now.

Barry, I just did a scan and it does appear that now the times are in sync. However, I do have one other question. Here is a link to an event, and the image that normally shows for many venues, is appearing as a generic blurred picture. Any ideas as to what causes this? Below is a link to the event on my site. I also included a link to the actual Facebook page as well for a comparison.

    Thanks!

You know, you are absolutely correct about the BBQ place events. I misread it initially and thought the last event was 2/27, not 2/21. That makes sense.

I do have a follow up question. If you go to our test site, beta.scmusicguide.com, and pull up the music calendar from the main menu, one of the events is off by about 30 minutes. It shows as 6:30, yet if you go to the facebook.com/NBTavern, the event shows as 7:00.

Because many shows run past midnight, I set the time to be 1:00 am, instead of 12:00. Also, my main WP timezone is set to New York, since I am on East Coast.

Any ideas on the time difference?

Hi gang. Just checking in to find out when the next maintenance release due? I really need to get my calendar up and running. Speaking of which, since I have been down and unable to use your plugin, is it possible to get a renewal extension to my plan for the allotted time that I have been down? Thanks gang!

    Leah,
I set up a beta site. scmusicguide.lucasandcribb.com. From there, look at the calendar.

I noticed that the only way I can import the events is under the Facebook tab, within the settings area. If I add an ID on the Import Facebook area, it seems to not add the events. I had to added my three different FB page ID’s under the settings / Facebook tab. Also, I noticed that when I added the Charleston Pour House ID (https://www.facebook.com/CharlestonPourHouse/events) under the Facebook tab within the settings area, the dates show up one day ahead on the Import Facebook area (where the checkboxes are). Then, when I click the button at the bottom and import them from the FB: Import area, the dates show up correctly on the calendar. Very odd.

Do you have a way that I can you a screenshot to show you what I mean?

Here are the other two FB pages, along with the Pourhouse, I am using in case you want to import them as well. The Charleston Pour House was the last listing of the three.
    https://www.facebook.com/NBTavern/events
    https://www.facebook.com/awendawgreen
    https://www.facebook.com/CharlestonPourHouse/events

My time is set to New York. I extended my date past 12:00. It is 2:00. I also unchecked the “Use Javascript to control page load” just in case that could be a problem.

    Thanks!

Leah, I actually have a beta site where I have an older version of the plugins in question installed. I am going to remove those completely, along with their respective event posts. I am then going to start over and install the latest versions of the plugins. From there I will work with a specific facebook page ID and see where it takes me. Also, if you can give me an idea of how you set your date settings for both the FB importer and the general WordPress settings, that may be helpful as well. For now, I have disabled the calendar from the main site until we can get this resolved. Update soon to follow regarding my tests, but please send along your settings. Thanks!

    Leah,
I am running WP version 3.5. Have not upgraded to 3.6 yet.
    Events Calendar – version 3.03
Events Calendar Pro – version 3.05
    Facebook Events – version 3.01

I think I was able to “tighten up” a bit on some of the issue. I changed the day cutoff to 4:00 a.m. past the 12:00 a.m. time period. That seems (tight now anyhow) to get our dates correct. However, the hours on some of the dates are still weird. For example, if you look at my main calendar on the date of August 21, you will see an event for “jars of clay”. This is correct. However, when click on it, or place your cursor on it, the date shows Aug. 22, with incorrect times. Here is a link to the venue’s FB page so you can see the difference. https://www.facebook.com/pages/The-Handlebar-A-Listening-Room/12925844806?id=12925844806&sk=events

Maybe there is something else I need to do in my setup?
It looks like we are getting close, yet the correct hours seem to be an issue. As an example, there was an event that initially showed correctly on August 8. It was a blues jam. However, the hours were wrong. Here is a link of the venue’s page. You may have to select “past events in FB to see the the actual event.

I have tried using automatic and manual with the same results.

    Thanks for the help Leah,

    Mike

    Hi Casey,
I was able to touch base with the Theme developer, and they looked into the matter a bit.

In addition to providing the same type of CSS fix you suggested, they also looked at the Community submit/list problem. From their perspective, The JS errors you pointed out, which they also saw, are not related to the theme but most likely via the plugin. If the plugin works by inserting content via AJAX (which it appears it might), those JS errors are going to prevent it from doing so. Is it possible for you to look a bit deeper into this? I can provide you information as needed. Thanks Casey.

Casey…I certainly appreciate it. As I mentioned, I know that this falls outside of normal support. However, I knew that there was something going on with the CSS. Just needed to be pointed in the right direction.

Will this also correct the Submit and List events function for the Community Plugin?

I again appreciate the help. Very quick and responsive. Thanks again Casey!
