ParticipantI was able to empty trash with all other plugins deactivated, and using the default theme. I have not been able to identify which plugin/theme is causing the conflict, but will keep working on it independently. Thanks for your help.

ParticipantThanks for your reply. Sorry for the delay. We have 120 items in the trash. It cannot be emptied in any way – not in bulk, or in singles or several selected. It always creates the error. I have checked that it’s not a plugin conflict and also tested it with the default theme. I can provide a login for you to verify the problem and test on your own.

ParticipantWell, thanks…. that Facebook debugger tool immediately and easily confirms that the wrong meta description is showing! It clearly shows a description from one of our events, not the main description that I want.
How to fix?? 🙁

ParticipantHi Cliff,
Thanks for taking the time to make the video. I will test that box and see if it creates the desired result. It seems to take Google about 3-10 days to crawl the site and show a new description, so I’ll update this post in about a week confirming if the result is correct or still incorrect.

Cliff, I have previously tested using the Yoast settings from your screen shot. That setting will dictate a standard meta description for every event listing, however it does allow the main events page to use the custom meta description that I need. And I do not want a static description for each event. Each event needs a unique meta description, not a generic description.
