Ok I’ve solved it.

I had a snippet in a plugin called “code snippets” that loafed jquery from googles CDN. Deactivating this solved the issue.

Don’t know if this will help others experiencing the issue but worked for me

Sure I will add it when I get a chance.

Maybe a temporary solution would be to have a standard text field? If a user searches for a tag that doesn’t exist it just comes with a notice saying “sorry no tags” or something?

Would do the job for now, cant imagine thats too difficult to implement?
