Thank you for the reply.
I am afraid this does not solve the issue. Exporting the attendance list and the checking them in perhaps via a simple excel-sheet is not helping the process. I would not be able to use the QR code on the tickets for anything, since the QR code contains a URL to go to the admin page for check in. Therefore if I was able to change the coding that generates the QR code i could make it only contain an information that I was able to export. I hope it makes sense.
So can I change the QR code?

I have done a lot of trial and error to locate the problem. I have found that the error is within the current theme. Therefore I have written to the manufacture of this and hope to get further assistance from them.
