ParticipantHi Hunter,
Yes, everything looks good until… I add a “venue” (example: Redondo Beach) to the community events form. Then the fields break. They are breaking on wordpress 2016 and 2015 themes, they break on my Woo Canvas theme and I would assume they break on many if not all other themes. The breaks were at full +768 screens. Once a venue is “created” the hidden fields, (address, city, etc) now display overlapping and address and city (maybe others) will not accept text input – broken. On my woo theme when scaled to -768 screens the the fields overlap even more severely… they overlap and/or are pushed off-page rather than stack to remain visible and useful.For me this is a serious issue.
Please see attached screen shots.

ParticipantHi Geoff,
Unfortunately the added CSS did not work to make the description icons dark on light.
–> .tribe-community-events #qt_tcepostcontent_toolbar input.button {color: #555 !important;}Regards,

ParticipantOkay Geoff I will give that a try sometime tomorrow. I will let you know
the result.Thanks for checking into it and attempting a solution.

ParticipantHi Geoff,
I added the css…
.tribe-community-events input {
color:#555 !important;
}It did not work. I cleared cache, navigated away, cleared cache again, and back to form. Reloaded form several times and toggled visual/text. Still white/white.

ParticipantHi Hunter,
Thanks for the reply. This does it But…. now I notice the fields address, country/state, postal code/phone are overlapping or pushed off screen in mobile views. See shared images.It is far worse on mobile devices which as you know represents the majority of users. I removed the US, United States default… but the form remains screwed up. I don’t know when this occurred or if I just didn’t notice it originally when I install community events about a week ago now.
How to fix?
Thanks,
MarkMark

ParticipantHi Barry,
Thanks for the reply.
I thought it would / should be that simple but on my site in development the “Event Calendar” categories are not there. I do have a “Events” menu item there but it does not seem to belong to the Events Calendar as the categories are different than the categories I have created using the very top bar Event Calendar (an icon). The categories on that Events menu do not coincide with the left-side-bar menu… those I can add-to and delete. But with the top Calendar menu there is NO option to modify or delete categories, just add them using the Event Calendar, add Event form.Another suggestion?
Ahhh…. as I was about to send this I had an idea. I deactivate the “events” option built into my theme.
That did the trick!!!!!!
I am sending you this anyway so it may help you to help anyone else that runs into this issue.Thanks,

ParticipantThanks for the help Nico!
You offered several possible customizations that may work for me on some pages/posts. I also have discovered what I believe will be useful no coding workaround for some situations by…1. Add a temporary event for a particular city or any location – no specific address needed when creating the event.
2. Then grab the URL from the browser after searching for events for that location (Houston in below example) using the tribe bar – example is “map view”.
3. The URL can be used in a link to target that city on a specific view, map view in this example, that has the embedded shortcode calendar in any page/post.
4. Link Example:-> example dot com/thePageOrPost/?action=tribe_geosearch&tribe_paged=1&tribe_event_display=map&tribe-bar-geoloc-lat=29.7604267&tribe-bar-geoloc-lng=-95.3698028&tribe-bar-geoloc=Houston+TX
This moves and focuses map to desired location even if no events exist. Visitor sees targeted area of interest when landing on page/post from another page/post or external link.
