Edit and/or delete categories

Hi,
Perhaps I am blind but I have not found where I can edit or delete a category created using the “add event” template.

Can you point me please? I don’t like editing the dB directly. Is there another way?

Hi Mark!

You should find an Event Categories option in the admin menu:

If you go to that screen, you should then find a list of event categories and should be able to delete those you no longer require.

Thanks for the reply.
I thought it would / should be that simple but on my site in development the “Event Calendar” categories are not there. I do have a “Events” menu item there but it does not seem to belong to the Events Calendar as the categories are different than the categories I have created using the very top bar Event Calendar (an icon). The categories on that Events menu do not coincide with the left-side-bar menu… those I can add-to and delete. But with the top Calendar menu there is NO option to modify or delete categories, just add them using the Event Calendar, add Event form.

Another suggestion?

Ahhh…. as I was about to send this I had an idea. I deactivate the “events” option built into my theme.

That did the trick!!!!!!
I am sending you this anyway so it may help you to help anyone else that runs into this issue.
