    Casey,
The plugin appeared to be 3.1. I re-downloaded it, and everything was where you suggested I look. Changed the line in the file and moved it to the theme directory. Image upload was removed, but it was also replaced with the code I changed:

Thanks Casey. I don’t seem to have a file called: edit-event.php in that directory. Cannot find it in the hooks or modules folders in ‘the-events-calendar-community-events’ either. Should I be looking elsewhere?

Rob, I appreciate the response. I find the comment “we haven’t ever had an officially supported Gravity Forms integration” difficult to accept considering the guidance Shane and yourself have offered on this very subject in the past. I don’t want to argue semantics, because those posts were certainly helpful in integrating Gravity Forms, but perhaps it should have been more clear to folks who were going that unofficial route.

We are currently using: The Events Calendar and The Events Calendar PRO plugins, not the community events plugin.

The way we are accepting community events, as was suggested as an option by the manufacturer when we originally purchased the plugin, is via the Gravity form. It would have been great to know that the Gravity form support had been depreciated before we upgraded. I guess our only options with Modern Tribe are to revert or spend another $50 and get the community add-on as well. Disappointing to say the least. Appreciate your help though.

    Barry,
Where would I go to check to see if I am using community events or not? As reported up above, “when I go to Events > Settings I do not have a Community option, nor the ability to adjust the Default Status for Submitted Events”.

When I created a new event it works perfectly fine. A site such as ours offers a community calendar, so the problem currently is that we have no way to allow users to submit their own content, and thus, are missing out on helping them publicize their events.

Thanks for the advice Tim. I tried what you suggested and can confirm that the Tribe capabilities were all checked/enabled for the admin role. In fact, the only capabilities not checked were for gravity forms. We use gravity forms for folks to submit events to us, so I checked those boxes as well to see if that would work; nothing doing. Still blank/empty list of drafts, in spite of the growing number of drafts/events being submitted.

Any other suggestions would be appreciated.

Any updates on this? Have not heard from anyone, and in spite of two updates to the plugin(s), the drafts are piling up.

Barry, when I go to Events > Settings I do not have a Community option, nor the ability to adjust the Default Status for Submitted Events. Guessing that may be part of the problem?

To answer your second post, none of the drafts are showing up in the main list of (All) events. We have quite fair number of them, going through and comparing but still nothing doing.

My reference to “tab” is exactly how you’re understanding it. My tabs show: All (941) | Published (922) | Drafts (19)

Thanks for the reply Barry. I’ve tried both deactivating all non-Modern Tribe plugins and reverting to Twenty Twelve. Neither allows me to access the drafts. The number of drafts continues to rise as folks submit things to our calendar. So to answer the second question, this is only happening with newly submitted events. We can still access events that had been previously published, and manually add new ones ourselves. However, the new ones that are being submitted by our community members can no longer be accessed/edited/viewed. The draft tab indicates 19 events, but the list is empty.

Yes I have updated the plugin and tried to remedy by deactivating all others. Still no luck though.

    Jonah,

Thank you very much for your help! I am going to look at other means to accomplish #1. #2 worked perfectly. I assume that by copying/pasting events.css into my theme folder that all the settings will be preserved if/when we upgrade to the next version of pro?

    Jonah,

Thanks for responding, and apologies for taking a long time to get back.

Re #1 the list of events in the widget shows a max of 10 in the drop down list. Is there anyway to override that? It is my understanding that the max there is based upon the number of entries on the main blog page, which makes sense as I have 10.

Re #2 I’ve bee trying to figure out where/what exactly to insert in the css with zero success. Yes, please take a look: kingstonist.com
