ParticipantThanks!
Darius
ParticipantYes, I got the idea – I had actually tried that option but I didn’t put the white space so it didn’t work for me. Funny how small things make such a big difference!
Darius
ParticipantThanks, that did the trick… I also commented out the next few lines of code to disable the tooltip all together.
Darius
ParticipantGladly.

ParticipantSOLVED! I used the edit forund here (https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/end-date-end-time-can-we-hide-this-display/) to solve my issue.
I have to say that the support here is great! I’ve been able to solve every issue so far – thanks to the support team or the contributions of others. The area that could use a little improvement is the search feature – it doesn’t seem to work as well as other forums. It seems that find more by digging through posts than I do by using the search tool.

ParticipantThanks Jonah… so upon deeper inspection, I’m not sure if this solves my problem or not… maybe it does but let me explain more.
If I have 2 events happening on December 5th where Event 1 one begins and ends on Dec. 5th and Event 2 begins on the 5th but ends at 2AM on the Dec 6th, then what happens is they aren’t listed together as December 5th events. Event 1 is under the December 5th header but Event 2 is under a separate header that says “December 5 – December 6”. Then, any other event that begins and ends on December 6 has its own heading with that date. What I ultimately want is for all events beginning on the same date to be grouped together, regardless of what time they end (since, for my purpose – it is highly unlikely that any event will go on beyond 3AM) and then I’d like to lose the “-December 6” add on to the header. Does this workaround address this issue?Darius
ParticipantHey Sandro, I was wondering how exactly did you solved your issue with the multiday event cutoff in Event List view (https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/single-day-view-displaying-past-day-events/)
Darius
ParticipantI’m not sure exactly where in the list.php file to place this code.
Darius
ParticipantOkay… disregard my issue – I’m going to take the route of hard coding the category list with HTML using the category slugs as found here: https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/displaying-all-events-in-a-category-in-events-list-view/ This basically gives me exactly what I wanted. (I think) LOL.
Darius
ParticipantI’m not sure if I was supposed to do something extra to the code you provided but it seems to be doing the same thing as the snippet of code found here: https://gist.github.com/2019513 – except that it adds “Upcoming Events” to the output and uses that for the link instead of the name of the category.
It seems the only way the category shows up is if there has been an event added to that category. Categories that have not had events added to it yet don’t show up.
That being said, the category does show if that event has passed as long as it hasn’t been moved to the trash. HOWEVER, when I click that category, it shows the category heading and category list twice. Here’s how I edited my list.php file – http://snippi.com/s/a5cdxwp
Darius
ParticipantQuick question, Jonah… how do I tweak this if I want the category to show up even if there is no upcoming event in the category?
Darius
ParticipantOkay… I’ll jump in with both feet and let you know how it goes. I’m doing multiple modifications simultaneously (not a good idea but that’s how my mind works) so I will have other unrelated questions between now and then, I’m sure.
Darius
ParticipantSrrry for the delayed response… yes! Thanks, Leah, I’m all set – with THIS question at least! LOL I’ll have about 6 or 7 more before I get this working JUST the way I want, although its a great plugin right out the box. 😉
Darius
ParticipantVery comfortable with CSS, functional with PHP… JS – not so much! lol My initial plan was to try and hack away at the grid.php file and copy some of the code over to the list.php file. But i get the feeling it won’t be quite that simple, right??
Darius
ParticipantOkay… never mind! I see this is automatically handled.
