    Thanks Brian,

    As it turns out I posted another question a couple of days ago to determine the type of ticket(s) attached to the event and Josh pointed me to this: Tribe__Tickets__Tickets::get_all_event_tickets( $event->ID );

I noticed one of the elements retrieved was “qty_sold”. I was able to take that from each ticket and add it up for a total sold. Any reason that wouldn’t work properly?

I think this will do perfectly, thank you.

We use an image overlay on each event to show whether that event is soldout or only has a few remaining tickets left. And since 4.x I can’t get them to stop removing people from the attendee list that are no longer attending. When they do that there’s a mismatch in the stock count which causes an discrepancy with the overlay.

I’ve been following this thread which may help but I will still have a problem if they delete someone. My basic goal is to determine what type of ticket is attached and if it is a wooticket to take the inventory from woocommerce and if it is a RSVP to use tribe_events_has_soldout().

    Hope that makes sense…

Woo-Hoo! I can reproduce the problem. Talk to me about timezones…

Let me see if I can explain this. I am in the New York timezone, this particular server is set for the Chicago Timezone. The Event Calendar was set for “Use the sitewide timezone everywhere”.

If I change a broken event to the New York timezone, it fixes the event. If I change timezone of the server to New York, it fixes the event. If I change Event Calendar to “Use the local timezones for each event”, it fixes the event.

I can also break a working server by setting the server to a different timezone than me and setting “Use the sitewide timezone everywhere”.

    I hope that makes sense.

Does it happen with all recurring events or just a select few?

It’s happening with all recurring events (before March 12th).

Also, what happens if you delete one of those affected recurring events and create a new one? Does the issue happen then?

Yes. If I delete and recreate it still fails. If I move a broken event to after March 12th, the event works. If I move it back to the original date it fails.

I also noticed someone else complaining about the same issue. If you check her event http://t221.org/event/asm-meeting/all/ and click on the March event it fails, but click on the April event and it works.

I also notice you have a number of plugins installed, one of which is a customization to the calendar and another for event tickets. Are those having any impact at all? Just checking since I’m not entirely sure what’s in those.

It just contains some of your snippets (e.g. Organizer & Venue rename, default event start/end time, and a few others. I did disable all plugins except for Event Calendar & Pro ut it still failed.

    George,

That appears to have done the trick. I’ll use this for now and keep an eye open for the official fix.

    Thanks again.

    Thanks George,

It does appear to work on RSVP tickets.
Any chance you have a fix for the wootickets side as well?

I can help on part of this. The custom directory for tickets plus (wootickets) is:
    /tribe-events/wootickets/tickets.php

It looks like that did it. Thanks to everyone for being able to get this update out before the holidays.

    Yes, that is correct.

I updated everything to 4.01 but still get the same error.

In my case to reproduce the error is to create a WooCommerce ticket and sell all the tickets.
When you go back and edit the event you will see the screwy numbers under the ticket.

I agree, that’s the part that threw me as well but if I remove the snippet the error goes away.

To be sure I also tested it with WordPress Twenty Fifteen theme and only WooCommerce, Events Calendar, and Event Tickets enabled. If I add that snippet, I get the error (with debugging enabled).

    Thanks Barry,

That’s what I had assumed (and was trying to do). I must just have a formatting error.
I don’t want to hold this ticket up but I’ll need to revisit this later when time allows.

Thanks for the help, if I have any other questions I will open up another ticket.

    Barry,

Thanks for the snippet. I’m having a bit of a problem getting it to work. Just to make sure I have it correct, is the “/expected/basepath/” listed above the path to where the modified templates are normally (e.g. ../themes/my-theme/tribe-events/)?
