ParticipantThat is great. I just wanted to know if I needed to go down the custom code route. I do, so that is fine. Thanks very much for your help.

ParticipantHi thanks for the response and sorry for the delay in responding.
Unticking the box makes the calendar widget display as i want it to, but it includes an entry for each of the event days in the listing. I want to be able to show one event in the listing that says, for example ‘Cromer Pier Show April 25 – April 30’ but i want the calendar widget to highlight all the days. Is this possible?

ParticipantHi again, none of that stuff worked unfortunately. However i have found that when i click through on the ‘show all’ link to see all of the events in the recurring list, the calendar displays as i want it to – with all of the days highlighted. Really odd that the two displays are different. Does it do this by design?

ParticipantHi Brook, thank you for the response. Just to clarify, if i set up a recurring event to run from 12/12/2014 – 19/12/2014 the calendar widget will only be clickable on the 12th. It will then display underneath in the Ajax driven listing. It will display indicating that it is a recurring event with a ‘show all’ link. What i need it to do however is to show that there is an event on each day on the actual calendar. So that could can click on it for each day.
I will go through you points and see if anything fixes it.
Cheers!

ParticipantThanks for the reply.
I couldn’t add the post meta to individual events though, could I? As i would break the chain if I try to edit any of the ‘child’ events. They would still need to be added in bulk?…April 3, 2014 at 5:47 am in reply to: Recurring events – determining where i am in the sequence #127305cromerpier
ParticipantAh thinking about it further, I could just use the post ID. e.g.
153|www.blah.com?id=23
154|www.blah.com?id=24
Not a very elegant solution though. Particularly as i will need to instruct the user in adding the id at the start.
Any other solutions?cromerpier
ParticipantHi, thanks for the response. I managed to get it fixed by updating the version of wordpress to the latest version. Was trying to avoid that, due the problems that can arise with updating plugins etc, but it all went well. Cheers!

ParticipantActually I have just seen that none of the event calendar fields are saving. Only the title, text and excerpt fields…
