ParticipantThat seemed to correct the photos importing incorrectly. However, I am still running into a timeout issue.

ParticipantI just wanted to confirm that my new hosting site offers the ability to stage a test site that is a duplicate of my live site. I disabled all plugins with the exception of the Facebook Events and changed the theme to 2015. After selecting 35 events to import, the import ran about 45 seconds and the screen did not refresh back to the event listing and when clicked on the import FB link again it showed that it had imported around 17 events. Checking the media files, shows duplicate entries for the event images. Definitely something wrong with the plugin.
Please advise.

ParticipantHey Josh,
I have tested this with the default themes and still ran into the same error.
Regarding the images, yes, I can confirm that what you are finding regarding the last image imported from a venue gets applied to all events from that venue. That does appear to be what I am seeing as well.Regarding the timeout errors I did open a ticket with the new hosting company and was told the following
I could not receive a Gateway Timeout error but I received a “Something went wrong with the site caching!” error. However, both indicate the same thing – our server is waiting for too long for your site to return a response and it just takes a too much time to complete the imports. Our server reaches its timeout limits and gives up waiting for your site.
You should import fewer events at one time because the import process calls a lot of functions during the importing of each event – try with smaller number – like 5.
Ask the developers of this import plugin if they could improve the import process so that it will not reach the timeouts on the server. If you need to import events often, then you should consider upgrading to one of our Cloud Hosting plans. There we can adjust the timeouts on the server to accommodate the needs of your site.

ParticipantJust checking in as it has been a few days. I also wanted you to know that I am in the process of moving my site from BlueHost to Siteground. I have my site working on Siteground (it is just not live yet) and I can confirm that the plugin is having the same problem with Siteground. This proves to me that there is an issue with the plugin, not the hosting. Please advise.

ParticipantAt this time, I do not have it setup to automatically import as that was not working.

ParticipantJust checking in to see if you have an update on this. I have done more troubleshooting on my end to no avail. I have turned off the Varnish cache on my server, turned off all W3 Total Cache options, tried a different theme all to no change in both issues, incorrect photos being imported and the an error occurred while processing this directive when trying to import the events. I worked with my hosting provider and am being told there is nothing wrong on their end as well.
This plugin will allow me to a a feature to my site that I have always wanted. Please advise.

ParticipantThey said, I had the L3 check here, and he is seeing the same thing there that the import settings are set as they should be. Nothing in the server settings that should be stopping this from importing the info. I then asked So nothing else can be done on your end? They said at least nothing that makes immediate sence. If the developer can come up with something, we can likely change that to get it to work, but we can’t really find anything here change.
Please advise

ParticipantI think it has something to do with the refresh of events from the pages I have listed after the import is done. I tested with only 2 sites to import and that imported a total of 9 events without error. If I add all the sites I need, it times out. However, all the photos are still messed up. Even when it imports correctly, so I think that we have 2 separate issues.

ParticipantI’m in a chat session with my host and they are telling me that besides the timeouts that I adjusted, there is nothing on their end that should be causing this. Now, with that said, I dont necessarily believe what he is telling me. Did you see this part of my post above as this error gets generated in the error log everytime I try an import : Checked the error logo on the server and found this: exec used but not allowed in /home/mainemus/public_html/500.shtml, referer: http://www.mainemusicnews.com/wp-admin/edit.php?post_type=tribe_events&page=import-fb-events

ParticipantYes this is from importing from Facebook. I didnt mean for this to show up here. I will try to get in touch with bluehost. They have not been very responsive as of late.

ParticipantJosh, photos are showing up, however, the wrong photos are being assigned to the wrong events. In my media library, you would see the same photo being imported for multiple events. Yet, when you open the event, you see the correct photo showing as the featured image. Does this help isolate this further?
Regarding what I should be telling my hosting provider, what should I be asking them to adjust?
