    I just wanted to confirm that my new hosting site offers the ability to stage a test site that is a duplicate of my live site. I disabled all plugins with the exception of the Facebook Events and changed the theme to 2015. After selecting 35 events to import, the import ran about 45 seconds and the screen did not refresh back to the event listing and when clicked on the import FB link again it showed that it had imported around 17 events. Checking the media files, shows duplicate entries for the event images. Definitely something wrong with the plugin.

    Hello cjoles,

    Sorry for the issues you are having.

    It looks like a bug is changing the filename for all events to use the same id so they overwrite each other. I do have a fix for you, but it does involve changing a line of coding.

    That seemed to correct the photos importing incorrectly. However, I am still running into a timeout issue.

    Hey cjoles,

    I’m glad the solution that Brian has provided is working for you on the images!

    I’m personally unable to recreate the timeout issue, I’ll run the issue, along with the comments from your hosting provider by our developers to see if this is something that we would potentially be able to address. However, with the nature of the plugin needing to create a new event for each Facebook event that is being processed, I’m not sure how much we would be able to reduce the load described by the host.

    Thanks for your patience while we looked into the problem with the images. We are working on a secondary maintenance release that addresses this issue. Keep an eye on your site for a new update to version 3.9.1. We’ve tested this release thoroughly and it should resolve the reported issue.
