    Leah,

That looks to have solved it. Apparently I had set up a country restriction (not sure why) but it is working now and importing events properly. Thanks for the perseverance through all of this. I appreciate the assistance!

    Tim,
I appreciate the work to try and figure this out. I know that Facebook likes to change things without updating or notifying anyone so I can understand the frustrations with their API changes. I’ve brought the site online regardless and would ask that a solution continue to be worked towards as having the ability to import events directly from individual Facebook pages is a boon for me since we coordinate with a large number of groups to populate our calendar with events and having the ability to pull them in without user intervention makes my workload much lighter.
Thanks for the great plugin otherwise though, Im loving not having to type every single event in.

    Tim,

Thanks for the response. I, as far as I am aware, am using the latest version of the plugin (3.0.1) and while I have been able to import events manually with no issues as of right now, however, it is the auto import functions that interested me the most and were the genesis of my complaint. Is that working for you or do you have any idea as to why I keep getting a Facebook API error whenever I attempt to put the pages I wish to import into the settings?

    Thanks,
    Rick

    Tim,
Thanks. I recently tried importing another event via the event ID (480428052035139) and it worked just fine. Not sure what is going on but sure hope it can be figured out. This issue is one last piece of the pie I need before I can open the site up to traffic.

Thanks for looking into it and I hope the problem can be rectified quickly.

Anything at all on this guys? I’ve changed a ton of security settings in the app and verified that I can post via Facebook’s WP plugins to my page timeline . Not sure why this isn’t working but I have at least verified that the app is working properly on the FB side. Would really like to open up the website to traffic but really need the events from my FB page to import properly. Any help that you can offer would be very much appreciated.

Unfortunately, still getting the error tonight. Nothing really changed on my end. Are there specific entries that need to be turned on or any sort of configuration needed in the Facebook App on the Developer site that needs to be done to get this to work properly?

Also having issues when trying to import events. Ive followed the directions, setup the appID properly and when I try to import an event I get: “Facebook API Error: Unsupported get request.”

When I try to import with the event ID (which is published to Public view) I get:

    The following errors have occurred:

Either the event with ID 152039734991944 does not exist, is marked as private on Facebook or we couldn’t reach the Facebook API
Either the event with ID does not exist, is marked as private on Facebook or we couldn’t reach the Facebook API
Please note that as a result, no events were successfully imported.

The following errors have occurred during importing images:

Could not successfully import the image for unknown reasons.
A valid URL was not provided.
Please note that this does not effect importing of associated events unless noted.
