Charles BartlettParticipant
** UPDATE **
My previous comment is only valid for sites that assign only ONE category to an event. Anyone that assigns multiple categories to events will need to think through how they want their reporting data represented and how GTM should be configured to generate the data.Charles BartlettParticipantThanks, will submit a feature request.
For those also looking into this…
If someone wants to report on Page Views by Event Category, the only option is Google Tag Manager (GTM) that I can see. And because current WordPress GTM plugins do not support custom taxonomies, it’s the same problem but different reporting platform. So what starts as a simple reporting exercise, becomes a days long research project to learn how to code a custom Data Layer for GTM.
This is a high-value capability to any site owner that could be dead simple to setup if the ‘Single event URL slug’ allowed variables. Perhaps this field is reserved for “future enhancements”, but as it stands I don’t see what someone would need this for.
Charles BartlettParticipantDisabling ‘Text Link Counter’ in Yoast immediately fixed the problem for me. Greatly appreciate the work of everyone here.
I should mention that I have NOT initiated the “count link” process in Yoast that this feature. Not sure if that’s a contributing factor, but thought I’d mention it.
Charles BartlettParticipantThanks Geoff, the plugin did the trick.
Charles BartlettParticipantHi Geoff, my mistake. I’ve been using a plugin called Post Duplicator so long that I thought it was an Events Calendar Pro feature. https://wordpress.org/plugins/post-duplicator/
Turns out the bug is in that platform, so the quick reply is greatly appreciated.

WordPress – 4.5
Events Calendar Pro – 4.1.2
Genesis framework theme – 2.2.7
Genesis Sample Theme – no versionCharles BartlettParticipantHi Brian,
Thanks for posting the patch here and I would like to confirm something about it. There are the following two scenarios for this problem:1. Exact duplicate events created of the original on a reoccurring basis. (seems random)
2. Additional events created (similar to the original) when the event info changes on Facebook.
Does the patch address #2?
By accident I discovered scenario #2 and now wondering if that has been happening all along.
January 2, 2016 at 1:14 am in reply to: Plea for Custom RSS Feeds to allow Automatic Newsletters of Upcoming Events #1048899Charles BartlettParticipantI would like to second this feature request.
The ability to populate an email template with future events (filtered by event properties) is a high-value feature.
By Start Date range
By Category
By Venue
By Cost (Free)May 13, 2014 at 2:41 pm in reply to: UI rendering difference between /events/ calendar and a filtered view? #159787Charles BartlettParticipantI can run without that view for the time being. But obviously the forum is looking for greater compatibility with the WooThemes framework. Thanks for the assistance, and I’ll look forward to the new version releases of TEC Pro.
May 12, 2014 at 7:15 pm in reply to: UI rendering difference between /events/ calendar and a filtered view? #158724Charles BartlettParticipantThanks Casey. I too can get the Month calendar view by changing the URL to /events/month. If I click to a different view (tab) and go back to /events/ (ECP Calendar tab), then I get the same wonky “blog view” of events.
After updating url to /events/month, if I select ‘List’ in the ‘View As’ dropdown, it will display events in the “blog view”.
