Thanks for the reply! All I did was add the code snippet to my theme’s function.php, which worked for reordering the past events in descending order (most recently expired first). I was under the impression that the code snippet was an alternative to creating a new page template, which I did not do. Am I wrong here? So, the code snippet worked to get the past events listed in descending order, but the pagination when clicked, goes to a blank page (“next page” to view even older events) that displays “There were no results found”, when there are indeed additional older events.
Is there a way I can add some additional code to an existing page template to get the pagination to work?
Thank you in advance for any guidance on this.
Best,
BbtellockParticipantThis works perfectly! Thank you very much!
btellockParticipantThanks, Geoff. I do indeed need the past events to display in DESC order. Do you have a link you can share to get me rolling with creating this custom page template? And can I copy an existing page template as a starting point? Any additional hints to help get me on the right track is much appreciated. Thanks!
btellockParticipantThanks, Geoff. I do have different event categories that I would need to display on their own “page”. i.e. past Classes, Past Exhibitions, etc. Would the suggested approach still be the best option. Can I ask why the past archives display in ASC order by default? That seems a little backwards. For example I have TEC on this site (http://www.laco.org/attend/category/orchestral-series/past/?action=tribe_list&tribe_paged=1) and the past events display in DESC by default. Did something change with 3.8?
btellockParticipantI think I am good. Thanks!
btellockParticipantThank you both! The above CSS did the trick.
Any ideas on how to add the event date and time to the title on the individual calendar day block?btellockParticipantHey Julie,
Our client is looking for possibilities to control when an event is removed from the list view and widget. Out of the box, when an event start time is reached the event is removed from the widget and list view. Is there a way to adjust this, or is there a plugin that is known (auto expire post, etc.) to give more control over this, i.e. the “event’s expiration”.
Thanks!
