    Hi George,

I contacted Yoast … Here is their answer to this topic:

Regarding SEO and “soft 404s”… lets quote Google here:

“We see two kinds of 404 (“File not found”) responses on the web: “hard 404s” and “soft 404s.” We discourage the use of so-called “soft 404s” because they can be a confusing experience for users and search engines.”

That quote is found here: http://googlewebmastercentral.blogspot.com/2008/08/farewell-to-soft-404s.html

Additionally: Google said, β€œSoft 404s can limit a site’s crawl coverage by search engines because these duplicate URLs may be crawled instead of pages with unique content.”

That quote is found here: http://searchengineland.com/google-webmaster-tools-adds-soft-404-pages-43748

    Hi George

Hmmm that is not the same Yoast is on?

Website maintenance: Check and fix 404 error pages

I did a search on Yoast for “404” and that link seems to nail it … But a lot of other good stuff on the topic!
We do like to keep our and clients sites fresh and tidy… This mess your plugin generates is maybe an issue you should fix with yoast and add a filter for “Soft” vs “Hard” 404’s so – we that have Yoast SEO PRO don’t get overloaded with soft 404’s and a huge clean up job!?
Just my 5 cent on the matter…

    Hi Nico,

    Can’t see anything?
The error only shows up in the log file!
Not even related to anything the client does?

    Hi!
    Sorry for crashing the party!
I have a 1.3 GB error log with a lot of the same error:

[07-Oct-2015 21:04:46 UTC] PHP Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /home/dogwhisp/public_html/wp-content/plugins/events-calendar-pro/src/Tribe/Recurrence_Meta.php on line 1098

We did have a huge error and break down this summer when we tried the Auto generated recurrence function.
But we fixed that and now this started (since 22. sept.)

The other half of the error_log is: [25-Sep-2015 19:01:14 UTC] PHP Deprecated: Automatically populating $HTTP_RAW_POST_DATA is deprecated and will be removed in a future version. To avoid this warning set ‘always_populate_raw_post_data’ to ‘-1’ in php.ini and use the php://input stream instead. in Unknown on line 0

Properly not related and a HOST problem?

I can’t trace the error to any single event or doing??
    Hope you could? πŸ™‚

    Best regards

    Peter

    Update
I removed the script again. To get some life back – Every browser timed out when clicking anything inside admin (front loaded after 35 min. (Yes min)
Admin page – I got it to show after 2 hours. 1.2 hours later I had the list of events (Yes I am patience (drank a lot of coffee and read some good stuff in my bible. Prayer always helps)) I did manage to click the delete button on #1880 (it took 2 hours to delete) them another 1 hour to delete the #1883 – Suddenly the site came back to life!
Everything back to normal – It was properly the two event that I created as a “Master” reoccurrent event!
I took a FULL backup (BackupBuddy) and checked everything! Full speed and BIG SMILES!

I plan a “move”-day when the site is done 100% (still some development left). Back to good old Gigahost.dk πŸ™‚
So the story ends good! Thx for supporting me here!

    Have a fantastic weekend

    Hi,

I applied the script – It made it worse – The error_log is now growing 100mb pr. hour (Maybe a new world record is taking place here Juubiii)

Where do I get my hands on the updated translated file? Or could I myself do the edit with my Po-Edit?
What file is the error in? (and line#) πŸ™‚

I’ll keep you posted what happends
My plan is first to delete the events 1880 and 1883 that seems the “bad ones”… And hope for the best!
If anything goes belly up (We are already there – site is slower than a CMD64 from 1994 πŸ˜‰

My “Up-2-No-Good” host still hasn’t answered my request to increase the time-out for scripts …?
I bet my left pinkie that we will move to another and serious server than Tordenbox.dk <<< Eacks! May hes behind itch and his arms to short to reach πŸ™‚

    Best of code-ing energy

    Hi,

    I found the post 1880
More has joined the “ERROR party” since πŸ™‚ I am now deleting 1 GB og logfile pr. day πŸ™‚

    http://imgur.com/a/FaFco

    http://imgur.com/PkY0CeR

My no good Webhost πŸ™‚ – That do not reply to my support tickets are http://www.tordenbox.dk – I am considering moving back to my old host GigaHost.dk

We might have to delete all events made with the reoccurring function! πŸ™ ??
Please tell me how to fix this issue….
I tried to turn off ALL plugins – like in “ALL”…. πŸ™‚
And waited a few minutes to see if the error_log file still grew… It did! So my guess is that it’s the DB running a super loop forever. (Forrest Gump running) LOL

Thanks for helping out I appreciate your help

    Hi Barry,

    Can I do anything?
    Add a new da_DK.mo file?
(When I edit with PO-edit and compare to the org. I get a lot of difference even after just fixing 1 string?)??
Where is the error? in Cal pro, Cal free or Tickets?
Can I just remove the translation! – Just did – I deleted all the .mo + .po files in Cal, Cal Pro + WooTicket
    No more error… πŸ™‚
Now just waiting for update πŸ™‚

    Thanks

    Just to be clear:
I want the Author name to show and a link to their author profile
    OR
Show the author info box – like on a blog post
(I plan to use the Simple Author box https://wordpress.org/plugins/simple-author-box/ )
    In advance: THX
