thanks Barry, I just tried the 64-bit version on iexplorere and did not have a problem, nor is there one in Chrome (which I HATE) so I’ll just use the 64-bit version to adminstrate the web site. Thanks for your help on a great program!

Confirming your understanding of my problem. Yes you have it correct. I’ll be even more specifc, I can open an event even to edit it…the next menu choice I make, it doesn’t matter what it is WordPress or anything on the sidebar or anywhere else, will closes my browser.
I tried Chrome, it did not happen there. I am using IE version 8 the current version with latest updates. I had roboform and google toolbars active. I deactivated both of them and it still happens. This only happens with Events Calendar Pro, no other third party admin pages.

HAH! I figured it out…..somehow the default template “default page template” was chosen…when this happens it apparently grabs a random page tile of an event and places that on the main calender page….
However, if you choose the “default events template” it uses the heading of “Calender of Events” on the calender page!!!!
Whooopee! Consider this a closed problem and not a bug….just a lesson learned.

Okay…..my web guy found a workaround or what he called a HACK.
If we type “FREE” in the field instead of “0”, the COST: field reappears with the word “FREE” in it!

Don’t know why…but it is working for now. I will watch it daily as I enter new events. My web guy is also watching. He has recc’d this program to all of his clients based upon many things, among them my use and success with it….keep up the good work!

    Rob,

Thanks again for the reply and I will have our web guy email you for the old and beta code. Also, we did test this by deactivating our theme and using Twenty Eleven and the “free” issue was still present. This was with all plugins deactivated as well.

    Thanks

    Rob,

OK, We updated everything on our site (WP, plugins, etc) and there is still an issue with the “free” field. I de-activated all plugins to see if there was a conflict and it didn’t help. The only thing that changed to cause this was updating to the EC 2.0.3 build. Where can I get a copy of the previous build to try and default back to what worked?

    Thanks

HI Rob! Thanks for the fast response. I have know idea how to modify or alter the theme. Our Web guy won’t let me touch updates to WP or any plugins he has loaded. I only get to update ECP since I use it myself and he maintains the web site.

I changed the starting date of the WP settings on the calendar so that it started on Sunday instead of the default that had been Monday. I also changed the date format to M j,Y so that the date fit on line in the Events Calendar PRO. I began using bullets in the HTML coding section of the contents area:

    text
    text

That’s all that has been changed….I did update to 2.0.3 as well. The field allows me to put a “0” in it but nothing show up anymore. I haven’t any idea what to do now. Like I said I haven’t made any changes to ECP coding at all.

I have used EC Pro for one month now and love it. I have 20 seminars entered into our calendar and the organizer is always our company. I changed our email address after I had entered 10 events into ECP. SO I went in and edited each event and put in the correct email address. Now, I’m not sure I am doing this correctly. But now I have over 15 copies of our company under default organizer. I’m concerned that If there is a way to delete this multiple copies, that it will delete the corresponding information from the events that are posted in the calendar?

Is there a way to only have ONE copy of my default organization since it is the same all the time? ECP just seems to keep adding more copies of our company name to the list.

#1 Not sure if this doesn’t already exist….but the ability to have the calendar view being on Sunday and end on Saturday rather then Monday through Sunday….this view is not your typical calendar view and I’ve had some clients get confused looking at the calendar thinking that the first day (Monday) was actually Sunday.

#2. Another vote for events that have same start time making it a default. All of our seminars have the same start and end time. Would love to make it a default so I don’t have to do repetitive selections.
