ParticipantThanks Cliff. You’re a star.
On the way home now in the UK.
I’m snowed under tomorrow as I’m off tomorrow and then away for the
weekend. So probably won’t get to it until early next week now.I’ll definitely come back to you if this is left open a little bit.
Thanks again

ParticipantHi you misunderstand, I think.
I do want ONE of the 2 tickets to appear in the shop – right now I have both appearing – which looks a bit rubbish given they both go to the same place, and once there the customer can clearly see both ticket options. If I make it so only one ticket appears that also looks a bit rubbish as the 2 tickets have different names (Men’s ticket / Ladies’ Ticket) – and showing just one implies the other ticket isn’t available – so that doesn’t help.
I really just want a “generic” Woo product (covering the event) that links to the correct single event page. I know I can solve this by creating a generic Woo product and then hiding the 2 Ticket products you guys create. But I just wondered if there was another way “built-in” whereby ETP can also produce a Woo product based on the Event, and not just the ticket types.
I’m guessing I need to go the “manual” route – but thought I’d ask.

ParticipantNever mind – I eventually found what I needed in the xxxx_postmeta table (records with the “meta_key” of “_tribe_tickets_meta”).
Can be closed.
🙂
Adam
ParticipantJust to confirm that it now works as expected. This can be closed now.
Thanks for your help.
Adam
ParticipantCool thanks – I’ll check it in the next day or so and confirm back.

ParticipantThanks Geoff
Re that article refunding etc – that is what we do. In our case though we do want the ticket to be available for a new customer. So even though free we do refund it, add it back to stock, we then delete it – All of those things are as the article you linked to – including deleting it (because we don’t want customers to check in a ticket they got refunded – in most cases anyway).
However that brings me to my other longstanding ticket with you guys – in that – a deleted ticket still can still be checked in!
Anyway – you can close this one – thanks
Adam
ParticipantThanks for the update.
That original thread – says:
This thread hasn’t seen any activity for quite some time and we are not accepting further replies.
If you need further help with this or any other issue, please create a new topic (you can of course include a link to this one if that helps to provide additional context) and one of the team will be only too happy to help.Adam

ParticipantThanks Geoff – that looks the ticket (no pun intended) 🙂
So am I right thinking that the snippets do the same kind of thing as the extension? I.E. use the extension, but if I want a little more customisation / flexibility, use the snippets for inspiration instead of the extension?
Thanks again.

ParticipantHi Cliff
Ok – thanks for the reply.
I have added it as a suggestion to UserVoice as you suggested (so, other folks reading this please up vote it if this is helpful to you):
So, fingers crossed.
You can close this thread in the meantime.
Thanks
Adam
ParticipantWill do.
(Sent the email to the address you gave a few hours back)
So yes, I’ll do the private thing if I don’t hear.
Adam
ParticipantOk thanks for the reply.
Re 1 – understood.
Re 2 – I was told to email [email protected] which I did at least 3 times. This is different to the email you suggest. So I will try that instead. Failing that I’ll add it hear as a private reply.
Thanks
Adam
