Moderator@Adam, give me a little time and I’ll have The Events Calendar Category Colors plugin updated for TEC 3.0. I’m doing a final code review now. It may work for your problem.
Andy Fragen
ModeratorExcellent Barry! I can confirm this works here. Nothing else need be done but change from
{YOUR_THEME}/events/events.css to {YOUR_THEME}/tribe-events/tribe-events.css.Duplication of any preexisting CSS is NOT required.
Andy Fragen
ModeratorBTW, make sure to remove all the default CSS from your events.css file that you may have previously had in there. Your events.css should only have the override CSS and nothing more. Nothing from the previous default events.css file.
Andy Fragen
ModeratorPlease let me know if this works as there will be many users having this same issue.
Andy Fragen
ModeratorChange the name of your ‘events’ folder to ‘tribe-events’ and use the plugin. See if that works.
Andy Fragen
ModeratorBefore you revert everything try downloading The Events Calendar User CSS. It won’t hurt anything and it may fix your problem.
Andy Fragen
ModeratorI think the link to your events in your nav might be incorrect. Go to Events > Settings > General and look in the text about ‘Where’s my Calendar?’ use that link in your nav menu.

ModeratorYes, it goes in functions.php
Surprising that is didn’t work for your Outlook user as it has for others. Yes, it will mess it up for non-Outlook users. Sorry, not many other ideas.June 11, 2013 at 3:42 pm in reply to: Importing Events into Outlook – Wants to Create Whole New Calendar #51098Andy Fragen

ModeratorYou can try the code at this gist, https://gist.github.com/afragen/2831526
Be aware that this will make subscription in ical or google calendars a little screwy. If you or your users only use Outlook then all should be fine.

ModeratorThe gist doesn’t do what I thought be the other FAQ post is the answer.

Andy Fragen
ModeratorOk, it’s a little more complicated than hat one-off snippet. Does this post help? https://theeventscalendar.com/faqs/the-calendar-page-title-shows-title-of-an-event/
