MemberGood evening Doron and welcome to the Events Calendar forum!
Thank you for your interest in our products.
We’ll be glad to answer your questions.1. Is the plugin WPML compatible?
Yes, our the Events Calendar and the Events Calendar Pro plugins are already compatible with WPML. But not all of our plugins and add-ons are: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/wpml-support/
Over time we hope to add compatibility for all of our add-ons and plugins. Unfortunately, I cannot commit to a release date at this point. But stay tuned!
2. If we want to let users add event on their on (not registered users) – will that be possiable
This would normally be possible by using our Events community premium add-on:
Unfortunately, at this point this add-on is not compatible with WPML.
This means that the only way of accomplishing this for now is through customization.
If coding is not your cup of tea, you could hire one of our recommended customizers to do the customization for you.
2.2 is it types toolset compatible? Can we add custom fields to events?
While we have not tested for types toolset compatibility specifically, I can tell you that many of our customers are using custom field via the Advanced Custom Post fields plugins.
Additionally, our the Events Calendar Pro add-on provides custom fields capabilities: https://theeventscalendar.com/product/wordpress-events-calendar-pro/
Let me know if that helps.
Have a great day!

GuestHey Geoff – thanks for your replay
When you say that the Events community premium add-on is NOT WPML compatible – what exactly do you mean?
Our main language on the site is Hebrew. If we want the add event form in Hebrew – is that possiable?
Do you mean that the Events community premium add-on is not translatable at all or that he can not work in two languages?Doron

GuestAnd another question – about sharing in social networks.
If we want people to share an event – is that possiable – do we need an extra plugin for that?
Can we control the shared image and texts (OG tags)?March 21, 2017 at 12:35 pm #1257522Geoff B.
MemberGood afternoon Doron,
Thank you for writing back.
Here are some answers to your questions.
When you say that the Events community premium add-on is NOT WPML compatible – what exactly do you mean?
I mean that the event only gets created in the default language of the site. Any translation would have to be manually created by the admin afterwards.
Our main language on the site is Hebrew. If we want the add event form in Hebrew – is that possiable?
Yes, that is possible (see above reply)
If we want people to share an event – is that possiable – do we need an extra plugin for that?
Can we control the shared image and texts (OG tags)? We do not have built-in social sharing functionalities.
But, any social sharing plugin that support custom post types (events in this case) should work great.
Let me know if that helps.
Have a great day!
