ParticipantI’ve already deactivated every plugin I use to see if it would make the meta title go away, and it hasn’t. I did not revert back to because I need to use my current theme, because I am currently creating a membership site that serves as an online directory – as you will see.
Please help!

ParticipantSorry to hear you’re having this issue. Could you give me a link to your ‘Submit Event’ page so I can take a look? Thanks!

ParticipantYes, here it is: http://floridayogainstructorassociation.org/events/calendar/add
I tried switching the slugs for each, but didn’t make any difference.

ParticipantJust to confirm, you’re running version 2.0.11 of EC PRO, along with 1.0.5 of community. Correct?

ParticipantYep 🙂

ParticipantYou should be able to use the following code to manually change the title if the user is on a Community Events Page using this code: https://gist.github.com/ckpicker/5119160
Let me know if that does the trick. Thanks!

ParticipantHi Casey,
I’m also having this problem, but the more important issue seems to be that there no fields for Date, Address, Venue, etc …
http://www.artsvegas.com/events/community/add
I’m rocking ECP 2.0.11 and ECCE 1.0.5
Thanks for any advice,

ParticipantDavid,
Have you tried deactivating all other plugins and reverting to the default 2011 theme to see if it’s working correctly? That will help us to narrow down where the issue is. Thanks.March 8, 2013 at 12:24 pm #42034David
ParticipantThanks for the quick reply Casey,
I haven’t tried that; it would likely take some time since I have 19 plugins. I suppose that I could do it late tonight and find out, when few users are actually looking at the site and won’t notice.
Thanks; if anyone else out there has a known solution for this I’d greatly appreciate it.

ParticipantPlease forgive my ignorance, but could you please direct me to what file I should copy/paste the Gist code into?
Many thanks!

Participantbduncan2184,
This should be in your theme’s page.php file. Every theme is different, so I’m not sure exactly where you should put that in your page.php, but look for some code that looks like this:https://gist.github.com/ckpicker/5120160
I hope that helps. Let me know if you’re able to get it fixed.

ParticipantJust to be clear. Do I replace the line of code in my Page.php file with the Gist code you gave me above? Or do I just copy/paste the Gist code in that section?
Thanks again for your help.

ParticipantHi Casey,
So I did deactivate all plugins last night and changed back to the default theme … and … it appears that my theme itself is what’s making the dates, etc disappear.
This is the theme I’m using:
Changing themes isn’t an option (at this time) for me so I’m hoping there might be a workaround. Thanks for any advice and insight.

ParticipantBduncan2184,
Yes, you should replace the existing title with that code I provided. Otherwise, you’ll have two titles displaying on that page. Let me know if that does the trick!March 11, 2013 at 6:31 am #42179Casey
ParticipantDavid,
After looking again, I’m seeing this javascript error on that page: http://d.pr/i/igdo. You might try disabling/removing that Twitter widget to see if that solves the problem.Just let me know if you need further assistance. Thanks!
