    Hi Guys,

I have added options to add a ticket (product) to an order/class..the event (more than one ticket option). Under the event Title is the event date, time and price. The problem is that the price pulls from the first ticket item. Is there a way to correct this? I know in the future I need to add the “add-on” first so the main product is the price that is displayed, but would really like to know if there is a method of fixing this issue.

    This is the example: http://www.northwestresponse.com/courses/first-aid-cpr-aed-class-gig-harbor-022715/
The first item is the addon, the second is the main event. See photo here with the highlighted problem

The First Aid class is the main event, and the add-on is BBP. Follow? Under the event Title shows only the first item in the ticket list.

Is there some way to fix this?

Hi Thomas, thanks for getting in touch!

Good question. I see what you’re talking about. The cost of the last created ticket is being used rather than what should be displayed, which is the price range.

I see that this was reported as a bug just a few days ago and has been entered into our system. Unfortunately, we don’t have a specific timeframe for when this will be cleared up, but we’ll notify you when it’s ready.

In the meantime, here are a couple of possible workarounds:

    • Use the tribe_get_maximum_cost() function. This will add the ticket amounts together, which I know is not exactly what you’re looking for, but will be a truer reflection of the cost of the event with the add-on.
    • Create a custom field and add it to the template where price instances occur. This would allow you to enter and display an exact amount for each event. Advanced Custom Fields would be a great place to start for this.

Sorry you’re bumping into this issue–we’ll keep you posted as we have more progress to share.

    Cheers,
    Geoff

    Hi there,

Thanks again for your post. We wanted to get in touch and let you know that although we weren’t able to address this issue in our upcoming 3.10 release, it is still very much a priority. We have a ticket in our system and will be investigating a solution for a future version. Thank you for your patience and support while we work on this!

    Cheers,
    The Events Calendar Team
