In other words can I map WP All Import fields to The Events Calendar Pro fields?
Or a different alternative, have Event Aggregator pul data from a CSV file on my server that is updated daily?
**In both cases above I’m looking for the process to be automated.
Thank You.
October 19, 2016 at 12:04 pm #1179342CliffMemberHi Sean. Referencing https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/wordpress-post-meta-data/ might help with whatever you’re trying to accomplish.
Event Aggregator can import CSV files according to https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/importing-data-from-a-csv-file/ but it doesn’t have any automation built-in.
And we don’t have any knowledge specific to WP All Import.
Please let me know if you have any follow-up questions on this topic.
October 19, 2016 at 1:11 pm #1179411SeanParticipantThanks. Automation is the big thing I am looking for. Our backend events system outputs events every 30 minutes to a csv file.
Ever heard of anyone automating the load process whether with WP All Import or any other way.
The Events calendar pro meets my needs all except the automation part. Also looked at Eventon which has the automation piece but not as friendly to customize as the events calendar.
October 19, 2016 at 2:15 pm #1179459CliffMemberSean, EA doesn’t currently have any plans to support recurring CSV importing, but you could request this as a new feature (or maybe search to see if the idea was already posted by someone else) at our plugins’ UserVoice page.
This allows others who are interested in that feature to easily voice their support. We frequently review suggestions there to find out which ones are popular, then we implement as many of them as we can.
<b>If you post it / find it,</b> feel free to link to it from here in case anyone comes across this forum thread in the future.
If you need some coding help to implement your own custom solution (such as a cronjob to run a clever script), you may want to ask your developer or reference our documentation and list of known customizers.
Last but not least, we have a pretty great Refund Policy so you can buy one or many of our add-ons and thoroughly test them. I’m not sure if WP All Import or one of its alternatives has the same, but it might be worth a shot.
In concept, pretty much anything that can be run manually could be automated, so I hope you can figure out something to satisfy your needs. I bet others would be interested in such a solution as well.
Let me know if there’s anything more I can do for you.
