ParticipantHello, since upgrading events calendar the upcoming events have disappeared from the website and I can no longer access the widgets cpanel to fix this. By turning off EC pro I can access the widget cpanel. Any suggestions?

MemberHi refold,
I’m sorry you’re facing difficulties here.
I do see that you already tried our standard troubleshooting steps of deactivating all other plugins and switching to a default, unmodified theme: thanks for giving that a try 🙂
Can you confirm if that made any difference to the problem? If not, what exactly are you seeing on the widget admin screen? Is it completely blank, or does it look as if some of the expected items are visible but it stopped almost “half way” and didn’t complete?
If the latter is true, can you tell if the Events Countdown widget happens to be the last item to have been displayed?
Thanks!

ParticipantTurning pro off is the only thing that helped the problem. The site is now running without the pro plugin activated but it’s lost that functionality.
To clarify what I’m seeing with pro activated:
The widget area is visible but only 6 ‘available widgets’ appear on the left and none of the sidebar areas on the right appear at all. Of the available widget it shows : Archives, Calendar, Categories, Custom Menu, Events Calendar and Events Countdown (but there is no description underneath this final widget).I hope this is useful. Thank you.

MemberYes, that’s useful. I think this is (unfortunately) a known bug with the Countdown Widget which we are actively working on. Can you try out this temporary workaround and see if that helps?

ParticipantThat amend to functions.php worked. Thank you.

I’ve added this thread to a list on our internal bug tracking software, so as soon as we’ve got a fix in hand we’ll do our best to pop back in here and let you know.
Thanks!
