Widget displays "There are no upcoming events at this time."

Hello, I have only one event on a client’s site and the event shows up on the Events page list but it isn’t showing up in any of the widgets. I supposedly have to add a filter via categories but whether I add a filter or not, the widget keeps adding a filter on its own which says:
Filters:
Event Categories: (remove)
So… even if I do select a category called “Upcoming Events,” the one that says:
Event Categories: (remove)
comes up first and I think it’s preventing my “Upcoming Events” category from displaying in the widget. I just updated the Events Calendar Pro plugin to its most current version. You can see the site at: http://www.hope-ct.org/events/ — Can anyone help me to fix this please? Thanks. (I don’t have Twenty-Eleven installed. I reverted to Twenty Fourteen and the problem still exists.)

I just updated my theme and that seemed to fix the problem with the widget adding “Event Categories: (remove)” but I still have widgets that say “There are no upcoming events at this time.” I just found this thread:

Am I correct to assume that this problem that I am having with the widget saying “There are no upcoming events at this time” is a Modern Tribe problem and that you are working on fixing it? Please let me know ASAP. I’ll need to remove the upcoming events widgets from my client’s site ASAP and replace them when you’ve got this fixed. Thanks.

It’s fixed. I deleted the Event List widgets and added them again and they all work now.
