    Hello,

I went to renew my license for tickets plus and events calendar pro and I am being charged full price for both, $89, I though renewals had a discount from full price?

I have exactly the same problem: My license expired 2 days ago and unfortunately, I did not get a reminder to renew. I suspect that if the license is expired, you cannot renew for the renewal price, but you will have to go for the full price.

Is that correct? Is there a way to still get the renewal price?

    Best regards,
    Christoph

I also did not receive a renewal reminder, found out today my license expired last week, and am being charged full price for the renewal.

    Thanks
    Mike

    Hi all,

Thanks for reaching out! After thorough consideration, we’ve recently moved to discontinue our long-standing product renewal discount for existing users of our plugins. We recognize that this choice is a controversial one and weighed all factors carefully before reaching our final decision. Ultimately, we’ve made the choice to shift towards a pricing model that we feel is more sustainable in the long term, as well as one that will allow us to continue delivering the top-notch support services that have helped to define us as a leader in the WordPress plugins space. We’re truly grateful for your repeat custom, and we hope we’ll have the chance to continue proving our value to you as customers in the coming years.

Please don’t hesitate to reach out to us via email if you should have any other questions, concerns, or additional comments regarding this new policy change. We’d be more than glad to take the time to assist, and we’re happy to hear any feedback you might care to share.

    Cheers, and thanks again!

While I respect your decision to discontinue reduced renewals to your loyal customers, I find it odd that:

    1) You did NOT notify us of this change.

    2) You did NOT send a renewal notification.

    3) MOST IMPORTANTLY: Your own Licensing FAQ page (which I’ve save a date-stamped capture of) explicitly states:

“Happily, we provide discounts to our returning customers. So after your initial purchase, the yearly renewals will be discounted below list price as a thank you for your loyalty and continued support.”

    https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/what-does-buying-a-license-get-me/

I’ve happily purchased a renewal for several years now — even upgrading to the 10 user license along the way — but I can’t justify paying full price every year.

I hope you’ll make this change clear to your other customers so they can, as I will now need to, make an informed decision how to move forward.

    Thank you

Hey everyone, sorry for the confusion here.

We were trying something new and it looks like we need to dig in a bit before we make any big changes. We hear your concerns, so we’ve gone ahead and updated our renewal pricing to include a discount as our thanks for your continued support.

You can access this discount through the link in your renewal email or by using the renew button at theeventscalendar.com/my-account.

Again, if you still have concerns, please don’t hesitate to shoot us an email.

Hey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.

    Thanks so much!
