GuestI currently use Constant Contact to build an invitation in invite participants to our workshops. Here is a link:
http://events.r20.constantcontact.com/register/event?llr=ivyhw8hab&oeidk=a07edv7pgrn2abaed99I would like to do the same thing in our events calendar but it appears I need to subscribe to Event Tickets Plus.
Questions:
I am not selling tickets – just want individuals to RSVP and provide specific information unique to this invitation. Individuals need to indicate first, last name, phone #, email address, daughter’s name, whether they will participate in dinner, vegetarian – special diet etc.
Can Event Tickets provide all of these fields?
Will it allow for payment of a dinner if they choose to attend the dinner only?
Can I import a list of invitees?
Can I pull a report on all the fields I set up for individual to complete on registration form? Thanks – I look forward to hearing from you.

ParticipantHi there Susan,
Thanks for considering our plugins for your Events! I’d love to clarify some of these features for you today. π
I’m going to repeat each inquiry and list my response below each to make sure not to miss any of your questions :
- I am not selling tickets β just want individuals to RSVP and provide specific information unique to this invitation. Individuals need to indicate first, last name, phone #, email address, daughterβs name, whether they will participate in dinner, vegetarian β special diet etc.Β Can Event Tickets provide all of these fields?
In order to have this functionality, you’ll need to purchase Event Tickets Plus (ET+), yes. ET+ has a feature called Ticket Fieldsets that you can save and reuse for each even where you’ll need to collect the same or similar data for your attendees. π
(You can read more about that in this knowledgebase article on collecting attendee information)
You can also set the cost for these events as “No Cost” so that you can simply collect RSVPs with the data you mentioned. - Will it allow for payment of a dinner if they choose to attend the dinner only?
Yes! π You can set up your events with more than one type of ticket (read more about making tickets here) that is assigned its own cost, and can either pull from a “Global Stock” for each event, or have it’s own set amount of stock.
- Can I import a list of invitees?
Unfortunately, no. You’ll have to email out the link to the event to your invitees. Some people do find ways to automate this process.
- Can I pull a report on all the fields I set up for individual to complete on registration form?
Yes! You can definitely download all of the attendee data. You can read more about how that works in our plugin here.
I hope this answers all of your initial questions. You may also have interest in checking out the Event Tickets Plus new user primer, which may help you get a better idea of how the plugin will work once purchased. And as always, we’ll be here to support you with any questions you have along the way. π
Please let me know if you have any follow up questions or if I can clarify any part of my response here!
Cheers! π
