ParticipantHello,
I installed the filter bar correctly and choosed the filter which should be displayed.
But, unfortunately, I can not see the filters at the backend of my homepage.
I am using the list view. But it does not show up. Where do I find it? Is there something extra I have to do, so it shows up?August 26, 2017 at 6:25 am #1340661Courtney
MemberHi Stefan
Can you send us your System Info? That really helps us get an idea of your settings.
Can you start by going through our Testing for Conflicts Guide https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/testing-for-conflicts/? I am wondering if you might have a plugin or theme conflict. Begin by deactivating all other plugins, using a theme such as Twenty Seventeen https://wordpress.org/themes/twentyseventeen/, and see if the issue still persists. Also, double check for any other updates available (Dashboard » Updates).
Please let me know if the issue still persists after these tests.
Finally, your Filter Bar should show on your default Events page, like this demo: http://wpshindig.com/events/
Thanks

MemberHi Stefan
First, can you send us your System Info https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/sharing-sys-info ? This will help us troubleshoot what might be happening.
Next, what were the results when you did the conflicts test? https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/testing-for-conflicts/? Did you see Filter Bar working while using a different theme?
Thanks

ParticipantHello,
I clicked the checkbox in the help menue, so I hope you can see my system information.
I am afraid of changing the template to test if the plugin works or not, because I do not know if I loose information, style or other things when I change back.

MemberHi Stefan
I can’t view your System Info unfortuantely because this thread was started without that enabled. Can you manually copy/paste it here (feel free to mark this as a private reply via the web form).
Changing the site’s theme should not lose settings. However, you can certainly request a site backup by your webhost before trying. Unfortunately, we need this before we can troubleshoot further.
Thanks

MemberThanks Stefan! I can see your System Info now 🙂
When you go to Events » Settings » Filters, do you have a few filters enabled?
When you disabled all other plugins except The Events Calendar, did Filter Bar appear?
Thanks

MemberHi Stefan
I’d really like to confirm that you thoroughly tested all themes and plugins. Have you tried using Twenty Seventeen https://wordpress.org/themes/twentyseventeen/ and deactivating all plugins except The Events Calendar and Filter Bar? What were your results with just this setting (we recommend this be done using a staging server if possible).
Thanks

KeymasterHey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.
Thanks so much!
